    Young and no longer fertile

Hi, I am new on here. I am just wanting advice/support on what to do next. I have a 4 yr old daugther that I had when I was 18 with my ex-husband. I am now remarried and trying to have another baby. In April 2011 I had my IUD taken out, come Agust 2011 I went to the ob for help, In August I had a surgery to repair a tear from gicing birht to my daughter, my ob also said I had starting signs of endemtrios. By January 2012 I was put on clomid I know take 150mg, in June he started me on 850mg metformin, Last month he started me on progesterone. Next month if still nothing we will send off for a sperm analysis. I just feel so lost, I am thankful for my daughter don't get me wrong but part of me hurts for my husband who would love to experience that.

Welcome to the site! We're glad that you've joined us and we're happy to help in any way. It sounds like you're moving in the right direction and, based on what I've read, I'm hopeful that you and your husband will be able to give your daughter a sibling. Just curious...how many rounds of clomid have you done? I know you feel lost right now...hang in there! You've come to the right place. We're here for you.

Thank you for your reply!!! I am on round 6 of clomid, third round of it at 150mg. If it doesnt happen this month my ob is going to send off my husband for testing and put me on my last round of clomid while we wait for the results. Then send us to a specialist.

You two are taking the right steps. For us ("unexplained") I firmly believe it was mild factors for me and DH both combined with "bad luck" that led to our long and harrowing journey. Wishing your journey is short and you have success soon. If it takes longer, wishing you strength and perseverence to go the distance... and have success then.
