I have never had long visits from AF and recently (past 4-6 months or so) they have only been about 12 hours long and blood is very dark. RE and GYN didn't seem concerned. Any ideas on this, or thoughts of what I could do to lengthen blood flow...?

Is there spotting afterwards? My periods never last more than a day or two, and the blood is never super dark, it's always bright red, but preceded and followed by old brown blood.
I've read that some women drink red raspberry leaf tea to improve the situation. I'm not saying it'll help or not, but the American Pregnancy Association says it won't hurt to drink it while pregnant, so it probably won't hurt to drink it while TTC either.

I have the same issue. Even now being on clomid and injections I will only have 24 hrs of flow, this includes spotting before and after. None of my doctors or nurses have ever shown concern for this either and all my tests and ultrasounds show my uterus to be normal. Mine changed years ago after I came off of birth control. Until then I had been one for 4/5 day periods.
so, I wouldn't be too concerned, but if it really bothers you press them for more information.

Same as Wingedmare, mine changed after coming off BCPs. I know several women that happened to.
PREG MENTS
My RE said it was never a factor and as I'm pregnant now, I'm inclined to think it's not a factor. How much you lose vaginally doesn't matter as much as the thickness of the lining on ultrasound at ovulation.
