Question on hormone levels...
My periods have gone wonky since about August...non-stop bleeding that we tried to control with Birth Control pills and provera...it worked but only slightly. Then a new cycle that was only 18 days long, no ovulation. I finally got fed up and insisted on an entire hormone panel. I have partial results and would love some input.
Background: I am 43, had my last child in January 2007. In August my periods started coming every 2 weeks for no apparent reason. FSH .89 (this freaked me out because I totally expected it to be over 15 since we have not been able to get pregnant for over 2 years now) Estradiol - pending - I know high estrogen can make FSH really low or mask it but I have no symptoms of high estrogen at all. Will have to wait for the results I guess. TSH: .96, last year it was 1.76, Still waiting on t3 and t4 levels Iron - very normal healthy level DHEA LH Prolactin ALL Still pending.
