Question Two Follicles, still risk for multiples???

First IUI with follistim

I'm young and have Unexplained inf.

My blood work has been excellent...

I go tomorrow for IUI but have only produced two follicles on the right 19 and 22 in size. Am I totally out of the woods when it comes to multiples or does that still seem to happen despite close monitoring?

pg/ child(ren) ment

Well.....this is my story......I ws able to get PG with DD using clomid alone. After many years of trying again, we moved on. My first cycle we did clomid cd3-7, then follistim, then hcg trigger and iui. U/S the day before trigger showed ONE follie on the left ovary at 18. Thats it.....but RE said trigger anyway. I now am the proud mama of 10 month old FRATERNAL twin boys There is really no explination. In fact RE was sure they would be identical because there was only ONE measurable follie the day before iui, but my OB is thinking there was another follie not far behind and since DH and i DTD at home a few times the following days that baby "b" now nathan was concieved then. I really wouldnt say that you are "out of the woods" necessarily. My twins are amazing and such a joy i wouldnt trade them for anything. Is there a reason you are unsure of muti's? Either way...good luck!

The RE has made me nervous about multiples because I'm young and my FSH, LH, and Etridol are excellent. He said I was at risk for multiples, so we had to be so careful. He says twins would be fine but that it is very risky to carry more for me and the babies. So I assumed two follicles meant one or two babies but your story makes sense! I wouldn't mind twins but anything more scares me, and I wouldn't "reduce".

Try not to stress about it. But, some follicles have no eggs, some have one, some have more then one. There is still no way to 100% predict what will happen.
GOOD LUCK!
