Update- iui and follistim
I thought I would post an update here since it's been a while. I am going in for iui this morning ( my 6th attempt)after 10 days of injections of follistim. I have also been doing acupunture for 2 months now. I took last month off and decided to try Chinese herbs my acupuncturist recommended and when I returned to my doctor this month for an ultrasound, I had produced more follies (5 and 6) then I ever have. The follistim is working as it should be too and my follies developed nicely!! I am trying not to get my hopes up high but it's hard not to with such good results! Now comes 2ww. Please put good thoughts out there!!

Good Luck! I am starting follistim + IUI for the first time this month. My RE said if it doesn't happen in 4 cycles it's not going to with follistim and IUI and it's time to move on to something else. He said those were National statistics. What does your RE think? At what point will you move forward. I'm nervous and would love to hear your thoughts!

Good luck to you!! This is the first iui I have tried with follistim. My RE said statistically since I am young and my fsh was 12 and LH was .9 I have a good chance of a successful iui. It just takes longer for someone with DOR. And since I am not married then there's no chance of pregnancy except with iui.
My next step is adoption. I cannot afford IVF. My insurance covers most of the iui cycle although it us a constant battle with them! I think my RE will reexamine the topic of IVF if this iui does not work. |

I haven't met anyone on here yet, so it's good to hear from you. Please let me know when you find out the results. What other meds have you tried? Also, what is DOR? I'll have my IUI towards the end of the month. I haven't received my meds yet...

I have only used clomid before. This is the first time I have used an aggressive med. DOR is diminished ovarian reserve. Keep me up to date how things go for you too! I go in for pregnancy test on October 16th!!

Thanks. I had blood work yesterday and it was negative yet again. I have a consult with my RE this Thursday to discuss options. Unfortunately I am running out of options because I am running out of money. My hopes are really down at this point and I can't stop crying..
