Should potential new members be screened?

Dave would like to know what you all think.
Currently all potential new members fill out a questionaire to see why they want to be a member here. Dave then reviews it and decides to let them be a member. This helps keeo out spammers and people that really dont need to be here, other then for IF support, family building etc.

So please let us know what you think!

In addition I'd like to add I think new members once they are allowed to come in should be monitored for their first few posts. Some people just don't belong here but who knows what they said on their questionaire.
