RE needed in Pittsburgh!
A friend of mine is looking for a good RE in the Pittsburgh area. Here're her specifics:
She has a history of endometriosis with some major surgeries over the past 10 years. She has been having fairly normal cycles for the last 2 years, is only about 32, but isn’t getting pregnant. So, I have been advising her to make sure she finds an RE that will customize a treatment plan for her and won’t turn her away b/c she’s probably going to be a difficult case. She has coverage for diagnostics but the rest is out of pocket anyway… Feel free to PM me with information! THANKS!

Hi!
I go to the Center for Infertility and Reproductive Endocrinology at Magee Women's Hospital. They are highly ranked, and deal with everything. I love it there! My favorite thing about their office is it is so efficiently run. I have been with them for two years (sometimes going every other day), and they have never made a mistake. Their number is 412-641-1600. Good luck to your friend! Becky |

My vote if for RHS (Reproductive Health Specialists) on Rodi Rd in the Penn Hills section of Pgh....Dr. Carolyn Kubik is who finally "got me pg" on IVF #2 (after 7 IUIs at Magee Hospital and 7 more IUIs plus 2 IVF at RHS). My kids are nearly 5 1/2 so it has been a while since I was there. I went to Magee first, from approx 1999 - 2002 and was not happy with them, they made too many mistakes with my case IMO and were not very caring or patient friendly (again, was long time ago). They were like a big "baby factory" (IMO). However I did deliver my triplets at Magee Hospital in May 2004 and the c-section and delivery and NICU were all FANTASTIC there! One thing I really like about RHS is that they offered acupuncture there as well as yoga, stress relaxation classes, etc. Plus the parking was free as opposed to around $5 at Magee Hospital and from where I lived, RHS was closer and I didn't hit nearly as much rush hour traffic (Magee is downtown in the Oakland section of Pgh, near the big universities such as Pitt, CMU, etc). where RHS is more like the eastern suburbs.
Best of luck to your friend! |
