Help! Your guidance is needed!

Hey Guys, I've been on and off this wonderful place for the past few years. Two months ago I suffered an ectopic pregnancy, really painful and I was told to relax for a few months before trying again. That was late june early july. Normal menstrual cycle in both June & July. August I've got nothing period was due on 8/21, no cramps aches or anything. Went to my docs on 8/26 took a blood pregnancy test was told it was negative, I already ovulated and my period should come down in a couple of days. It's 9/1 and still nothing. I really do not want to get my hopes up at all, and I'm kind of terrified to take a HPT. Anyone else experience anything similar? heard of such a thing happening?? Any advice, information anything at all is appreciated.

You ladies have been there for me, for my chemical preg, low beta's and my ectopic. Your support and guidance are unsurpassed. Thank you for being my family!

hi AimB,

sorry for your loss!! i too experienced an ectopic last year so i totally understand.

after my ectopic my period was pretty regular so i have never experienced what you are experiencing.

but i after my second IVF with BFN, my period went all wacked and it was awfully long one time.

i think you should take the HPT! it can be that the blood test taken on 8/26 was too early to detect pregnancy.

keeping fingers crossed for you!

Thank you for writing back Hope! Ectopic are definitely pretty difficult and heart wrenching to go through. I'm sorry for your loss last year, and I'll keep you in my prayers.

I was kind of thinking the same thing about the time frame since I've been feeling a few symptoms, especially fatigue and constant bathroom breaks. I know the RE told me to expect a wacky cycle, but after taking the blood test I was told it would be down in the most two days. So I'm all over the place, and scared to be hopeful, every time I go to the bathroom I remind myself this time there could be blood on the tp. Time and again I'm shocked it's not there. I don't feel any of the usual that time of the month symptoms either, keeping my fingers crossed. I think I'll pick up another HPT, usually after taking one it comes down, so lets see.
