Thinking of switching to Cornell (CRMI) in New York. What do you think of them? How organized are the nurses and office staff? How's the communication? Would you go back to them to have a second child? Thanks!

Hi Barren,
I am not sure about Cornell, but I am at CWRC Center for Women's Reproductive Care at Columbia University ... staff is nice, pretty organized and drs always return your calls, the IVF nurses are wonderful. I hear St Barnabas IRMS is great - and their stats according to CDC.gov are pretty much similar to those of CWRC ... Which one are u currently at?

I start my first IVF protocol this week at Cornell. This is my first IVF cycle so am VERY new to everything, including Cornell. From my (limited) experience, it's more like a do-it-yourself clinic.
No one will call you to come in for bloodwork, it's up to you to schedule and come in. You really have to be on top of everything yourself. They require all newcomers to take their 1.5 hour "teach class" where they go over everything and each patient is assigned a specific nurse to call with questions. The staff is there for your questions, but it's up to you to ask. Having said that, I am happy to be at Cornell. I have not had any billing issues with all my pre-testing. I live in NYC so it's convenient. Ask me this question again in one month after I have completed my first IVF cycle there! |
