Hello, I'm hoping to get some advice or answers.
I just turned 28 and me and my DH have been ttc for 2 years. I had been taking Clomid and conceived early May this year that resulted in a DNC at 7 weeks due to no heartbeat. I have very irregular AFs, meaning there will be a month or more of no bleeding (maybe a spot or two) for a while and then one day, AF will decide to show for almost a month straight. I had this issue when I was 14 and was put on BC pills to regulate it which worked great. However, I've been off BC pills for 4 years and my body seems to be doing the same thing it did when I was 14. My question is if I'm not mentruating, then can I still get pregnant? I'm wondering if by me not menstruating if that's what caused me to have to get a DNC. I'm also wondering if I do get pregnant again using Clomid and getting an IUI, will I run into the same situation as before? I've tried ovulation kits, but I cannot get the + LH surge to register, but I know I do because I got pregnant in May. Sorry, for the lengthy post. I hope someone can give me some more insight

Hi Riaz
Your history sounds very similar to mine. I never had a period every month so I also went on Birth control for a while. For me, I have severe PCOS and insulin resistance. Have you been checked for either of those? I am sorry for your loss. I also had an early miscarraige. ![]() Julie |

Hi Julie,
I have tested negative for PCOS. I was certain that I had to have it and double checked with my dr and he tested for it. He didn't say anything about insulin resistance. I'm sorry for your loss as well. Me and my DH are trying again without anything except for an ovulation kit; however, next month I will be going back to my dr. to see if we can try the clomid and IUI again. Do you have any children? Thanks for responding, Maria |

Hi Maria,
Hmmm.. well its good to know you did test negative for PCOS. I hope your Dr can pin point what is going on. Good luck trying again. I am the mother of a wonderful 8 year old boy Zachary. It took us over 5 years of ttc! All of the heartache of ttc has never gone away for me. But I think having to work that much harder to be a mom makes me enjoy it that much more. I wish you the same success. NEVER give up! Julie |
