What does low E2 on day 3 mean?

What does low estrogen mean?
Besides the obvious, that is, I am old! I had my day 3 testing done and here it is. FSH is 12.9, E2 is 13 and LH was 5.8.

Is that E2 too low? I know the FSH isn't great but I was braced for a number 4 to 5 times that so I am pleased. But I wonder if that low E2 is another bad sign?

Hello,
The E2 is supposed to be low at the begining of your cycle. That means the follicles are not growing yet. As your cycle progresses that number will go up with growing follicles.
GOOD LUCK
Julie
