Hi Harley. I've done 3 cycles of injections (with menopur). The first two cycles, were negative, but on the 3rd I got pregnant (but unfortunately it ended in miscarriage). I was really worried about the injections, but they really don't hurt . The needles are so tiny and sharp, you can barely feel them go in. When the medicine is injected it sometimes stings a bit, though. The whole process was a pain (metaphorically-- in terms of being expensive and time consuming), but it wasn't painful in a physical sense. Good luck!!

hello (child ment.)
Hi,
I did four cycles of super o before being successful........changed meds twice too within those cycles.
And no, it's not painful per say, I'd say just nerve wrecking 'cause you're giving yourself the shots. Just relax, follow the instructions and you should be fine.
Let me know how it's going
Best of luck,
Patricia

I used Gonal-f and it was a piece of cake. Near time to take the trigger shot I did start feeling like my ovaries were huge; it was just uncomfortable a bit is all. Good luck.

Very little pain involved (I was using Menopur). When you say superovulation, do you mean ovulation induction? Are they trying to get you to ovulate just one egg? That's what I was doing, so I was on a very low dose of Menopur. No big deal at all. My ovaries got a bit tender but it mad me feel good, like something was happening. Nothing horribly uncomfortable.

Both Gonal-f and Follistim are injectible FSH, exactly the same but just made by a different manufacturer. My RE didn't care which one I got, she basically told me to call the list of pharmacies she gave me and find the best deal.
