Uterine lining shrink right before / during surge?

I'm on Gonal F and my lining on Day 11 was 8.3 (with two follicles: 17 and 18mm each). Today, on Day 12, my follicles had grown but my lining was at 6.8. The doctor and nurses all looked confused by my shrinking lining, but then said it may be a measurement problem or it may have "contracted" because I was surging (my blood tests came back in the afternoon, and I was surging). I can't find anything that suggests your lining can get thinner when you surge. Has anyone else had this happen?

I have never heard of that. Have you had lining problems before?

Hello! I had a thin uterus lining mine never seems to get over 7!! I started drinking more water and drinking Red Raspberry Leaf Tea. I'm hoping it helps this cycle. Are you taking 81mg of Aspirin, maybe that can help too, but check with your doc first!

Good Luck

Thanks for the replies. Yes, the same thing happened during the one month I was on Clomid - my lining, which was very thin because of the Clomid, went from 3.5 to 4.5 and then back to 3.5 right before I surged! The nurse told me it was a measurement problem that time too, but now that it has happened on my first month of Gonal-F, I'm doubting the measurement problem explanation...

I haven't tried aspirin, but I'll ask my doctor - thanks!

Has anyone else heard of this/had it happen?

My screwy old doc told me I had thin lining issues. So I went to a new doc and he was concerned about the possibility of thin lining since I was trying clomid, but we gave it a whirl anyway. Well, my first u/s my lining was marginal. Still very thin.
So I went home and started baby aspirin and a warming pad on my lower abdominal every night for 30 mins to help blood flow in that area and 4 days later, my lining is now just about ideal!
Maybe that can help you too!
Good Luck!
