Actually I have not tried this place. I live in Orange County but my doctor referred me to another who is in Long Beach currently. My OB/GYN is excellent and very picky about her referrals. His name is Billy Yee, MD. He is affiliated with UCI Medical Center also.

I am looking to start again in September (1vf#2) and am considering a new clinic. Clinic #1 is kind of a baby factory.

Also, i will be paying out of pocket.....so i will check on the website you provided juju...thanks.

twiggy....is there a website to your clinic? i looked up the doc but didnt any info on the clinic ....

thanks again ladies...and good luck on your cycles!

Actually I'm on my way in myself. After my surgery and tests and waiting, I'm finally getting closer. I'm very picky about drs and I even interviewed and screened by ob/gyn. She's very patient and honest and really cares about her patient and tends to only refer to drs who share her same philosphy (which unfornutately is not many) so I have to drive to Long Beach.

If you want to be closer, I would go in and interview them first and get a feel of how much time they spend with you and explaining everything to you. A friend of mine saw this dr here in OC for years only to find out that she didn't even need IVF but needed a treatment to keep her body from attacking the fetus. Unfortunately by then she was too exhausted and had spent too much money to go forward with this treatment.

Ok I'm going on to far, just FYI and hopefully some helpful hints.

Juju

Juju, what do you mean "interview"?
Do you mean the initial consultation? That's about 200-400 dollars just to go in and talk about my case

Is the doc that you are going to part of a clinic or is he in a hospital where insurance will cover?

I have no insurance and would be interested in how much he charges.

Actually it was just to talk to her and find out get a feel for what type of doctor she was, her philosphy on certain things. For example (this was before I knew I had a problem conceiving). I had ideas about how I wanted to deliver etc.. and I was switching OBs because my original did not deliver at all. So for this chat she didn't charge me (another thing she does). My ob does not take insurance anymore herself and she is in a hospital and the hospital is in network. She does bill insurance though as an out of network provider.

As far as Dr. Yee, he happens to be in network for my insurance and pays $10,000 lifetime max for fertility treatment. But if you don't have insurance I would really shop around for the best refund policy too.

http://www.2reproduce.com/payment.html is Dr. Yee's site

http://www.integramed.com/inmdweb/co...ll_yee.htm.jsp

Integramed has a nice refund policy too that you may qualify for. They define success as a BABY!
