What do you count as CD-1?

My old docs said full flow was CD-1, my new doc says first day of spotting- even if it is pink is CD-1

A light flow until 5 pm is what I was told...I didn't know that my flow could tell time!

I voted other. My Dr always said if you are spotting that does not count as CD 1. If full flow begins before 1pm they would count that as CD 1. If after that the next day would be CD 1.
GOOD LUCK
Julie

My Obgyn said the first day of any spotting.
My RE says the first day of full flow before 5 p.m.

Who knows????

Here's what I've run into...

GP (who specialises in Women's Issues) - CD-1 = Full Flow
OB #1 - CD-1 = Full Flow
OB #2 (who specialises in IF) - CD-1 = First day of spotting -no matter how slight
RE - CD-1 = Full Flow

So I guess that's 3 vs. 1 ???
I probably won't get PG unless I get rid of my spotting and then it isn't a question anymore!

Well I've reviewed my charts and for various resaons of illness, poor sleep, I only have a couple good ones to look at at my temps begin to fall with the spotting, but are still well above Coverline -the day of AF, they drop very close to Coverline. Works for me!

I was told it was the day you have the first sign of bright red blood!
