Anyone Only Transfer 2 Embies And Have Twins?

Hi--

I has my ET yesterday and our original plan was to transfer 3 because I would really love to have twins. Well, for some reason I had severe pain after ER and was still in pain when I went in for the transfer. My Dr. thought that we should probably only transfer 2 because if I am very sensitive to pain he was not sure how I would be at carrying triplets, and my embies were of pretty good quality. I went ahead and agreed to it, but now I wonder if I did the right thing.

Me too ! I put in two at the transfer and both took.
Unfortunately we lost them at 23 weeks due to incompetent cervix. Having twins was very difficult I vomited ~20 times a day and was put on a cancer drug for nausea called Zofran.I personally would never choose to have another twin pregnancy but if it hapened I would keep it. I think the risk of prematurity and death is three times higher than a normal pregnancy.......it is no fun to watch your children die in your arms after working for them for over five years. By the way our hospital bill was close to 80,000 dollars thankfully the insurance covered it but some people have to pay 10% of it which could have set us back 8,000 dollars. By the way my husband missed a month of work as well as my mom and my mother in law all of them experienced difficulty in returning to work afterwards.I had to pay for a funeral that we were not expecting, it set us back about 10,000. I almost died as well because the incompetent cervix caused our water to break on twin A and then she became infected with strep B and .....then we got infected again 7 days later while we were recieving intravenous antibioticswith E.coli. My babies died and I almost died two times trying to hold onto them. I think I'm going to try for a singelton in July......twins is not ideal!Triplets has just about the same risk as a twin pregnancy and again it is not ideal!

Take care of yourself,
Kris
