meeting w/ insurance coordinator today-advise please!

i am meeting with our insurance coordinator today and a medical mutual representive. i want to discuss infertility treatment with them and fight for us to get coverage. i am really nervous and it takes a lot of courage for me to talk to them about it. i would like to be a voice for all of us, soo...

what should i say to them? i plan on giving them the resolve letter requesting coverage.

i hope talking to them will not hurt my health insurance in any way? do you see anyway it would?

Wow! Good for you. One of my major beefs is that most insurances will pay for birth control pills, getting tubes tied, and vasectomies. But not help those that WANT children!!
I know you have probably already had your meeting. Please let us know how it goes.

thanks julie and jcaballero

i think it went well. better than i expected. they seemed very receptive. boy, did that take a lot of courage. i am a very private person, and do not talk to anyone about my infertility, except you girls and my family. here i was going right up to them. wow, i even shocked myself. oh and they told me that there was another girl asking the same question that morning. i guess i am not the only one. i also gave my union president info from resolve. i just set it on her desk, no name. they are negotiating our contrace. so if anything will be done it will be now. what a miracle it would be to get infertility coverage. praying it will happen with faith and hope

excited!!!

. i went to commissioners today for the county. i am a audit specialist/case worker for child support. i also went to the union president who are negotiating the contract for health insurance and the human resources director and talked to them about ivf/infertility treatment. praise God - i think i might actually get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they are all very receptive and i might be able to get a specific rider just for me. please pray for me my dear!!! i am on fire now fighting for coverage for all of us oh and the woman said that someone else came to her about coverage also, so i am not the only one. too bad i don't know who it is because we could ban together. i can't believe i have the courage to do this, but somehow i do pray pray pray
