Weight gain on clomid?

I'm wondering if clomid makes you gain weight? I was putting on a couple of pounds each cycle while on the horrid medication. Any thoughts?

YES!! I have gained! And to make it worse...I had gained 20 lbs over the past year anyway...because of hypothyroidism that was just recently diagnosed! None of my cute little size 6s from last summer fit me! Now I am medicated for the thyroid...but on Clomid which is making me gain again. What an insult...lol.

I'm on Synthroid...but only for the past 6 weeks. As soon as the synthroid should have been kicking in...I went on Clomid :-( I hate this bloated feeling too! The IF is bad enough...do I have to be chubby now too??!

do you have your thyroid levels monitored frequently? When my dr discovered the problem, she told me that it is probably the reason that I haven't conceived! I'm hoping that this month it is all magic...sythroid and clomid double whammy! lol

Yes I see it, looks like a wedding. Levoxyl is the generic form of synthroid. I do get it monitored regularly plus I'm a type 1 diabetic so tyroid problems go hand in hand with diabetes.

I took Clomid for 3 months straight - two years ago! - and gained a total of 15 pounds, only about half of which I have been able to lose.

Ugh! Weight gain! I read somewhere on these boards that the rule of thumb is about 5 pounds per medicated cycle. I did 4 months on Clomid and 3 on injectibles, so yes, it does continue on injectibles. So, I've averaged about 4 pounds per cycle--still--that's 20 pounds in less than a year!! BUT, I keep telling myself that the light at the end of this fat tunnel will be a baby--right?

I'm not sure how much weight I've gained...a Little afraid to get on the scale...but I do know that ever since taking Clomid I've been gaining weight ...Big Time! But I feel the same as the other girls ....the end result will God Willingly be a Beautiful baby.
