Cool Yippee - Its FRIDAY - weekend plans? (O/T)

I am so pleased its Friday - any one have any FUN weekend plans?

My DH will be gone all day Saturday - so I get to sleep in and then do whatever I want - well - actually he is taking the car so I'll do whatever I want and home - with no A/C in 90 degree plus humidity - sigh - this weekend is looking a little unpleasant - oh well - maybe some yard work and basement work (I'm going to see how long I can go without using a period - we'll say I'm anti-period!!)

It is also DHs birthday on Sunday so I am going to make cupcakes for him to take to the Sunday school class he teaches - and an angel food cake for us at home! So it will be a pretty uneventful but nice weekend I hope!

No plans for me other than a trip to the hardware store with dh and fil for roofing supplies to replace our garage roof so we can get homeowners insurance. Sunday is also my birthday but dh has to work so its not likely we will do much.
It is only 8 am here and it is already 88degrees :0!
Hope your weekend is enjoyable and not too hot and happy birthday to dh!

My DH has to work on Saturday so I plan on sleeping in and then shopping for a top for his class reunion next weekend. We made an offer on a wonderful new house so I guess we wait and hope our offer will be accepted. I have my fingers crossed. I figure sure as we buy a new house I will finally get pregnant. Just my luck! Either way it will all work out- I guess the bright side is if I am pregnant I don't have to move furniture!

We usually play golf and eat out somtime during the weekend, but it is in the high 90's and I don't really enjoy the heat that much. Maybe we can just sleep in on Sunday.

I have another baby shower to go to...sigh. There will be three preggos there. I actually thought that it was Sunday, but my sister just called me to remind me that it is tomorrow! I haven't even gotten a gift yet! Guess I know what I am doing with my only afternoon off this week...ugh.

It is supposed to be brutally hot this weekend...so i probably won't do much outside. If I can get up early enough to beat the heat I will probably do some weeding...fun fun. Maybe go for a walk to the lake. If I have the energy on Sunday I will continue painting my kitchen cabinets...can I tell you how unmotivated I am to do this!!

DH will probably golf tonight. I might try and talk him into going to a movie on Sunday!!

    Enjoy everyone!

Abilene - I was "afraid" of the same thing when we bought our house (unfortunatley I didn't work) - then when we signed for a home equity loan I expected to get prego then to (still hasn't happened but I keep hoping - we only made our first payment on that this month so there's still time)

jpoo- good luck with the babyshower - buy something for the mom so you don't have to go into any baby stores - that is such a killer (I always feel like they know I don't belong)

Sounds like most people are working on their houses - we're doing the same. Currently, we have upstairs flooring to complete, and still haven't decided if we will go with wood, tile, carpet, or a combo of two of those. So, our entryway is just the bare wood underneath! Then, we have sinks and countertops to do in bathrooms and kitchen. And finally, we tore out the deck in our courtyard, so we have to do some space planning out there for a small garden, walkway, etc. My dh works very hard during the week so we only have weekends to do this stuff. Then at night, we to watch a movie to wind down.

    Take care,
    Kate
PS We also take the pupster to the doggy park today for doxie day!
