Injectible Questions

I have been TTC for over a year now. First started out with Clomid with IUI's then took a break and now going to RE and did my first round of Gonal-F. I have unexplained infertility and had a lap done last October where they found mild endo. I took Gonal F Mon thru Thurs and I responded so well that the U/S they did that Friday showed three mature follies. So they gave me the HCG shot. We bd'd the wed and thursday before HCG and then Saturday and Sunday after. I am guessing I o'd that Sunday. I am so confused b/c instead of having an O at day 14 the Gonal F had me O like a week early. Then I went to the dr on day 13, they took an U/S and two O'd and they also put me on Progesterone pills. Any one have any symptoms from these? I have been so bloated and have had sore nipples. I hate it. Now I am on day 18 of my cycle and get blood work done this Friday. If I took an HPT would it show up since my cycle is no longer a 28 day one b/c the Gonal F made me O much quicker? I just don't know what to think. I just don't know what to think. Thanks so much
Tiffany

Hi Cali,
The time I was gonal f it was a breeze. It was after I received the HCG shot that I started having symptoms. 4 days later I was so tired I came home from work and went to bed. Plus everytime I ate a regular meal my stomach would hurt so bad.. (like when you overeat on the Holidays!) Now I look prego b/c I am so bloated but I have noticed that my nipples aren't as sore as they were. I am not really having any signs, and I think I am 8dpo so I am sure this time it did not work. I honestly hate the two week wait and I dread going in Friday for bw so I can get a BFN. Such a depressing thought for the end of the work week.. I seem to be so negative about this but I can't help it. How much are you being monitored while taking the Gonal F? I went for an U/S and BW every other day. I actually had to decrease to 1 ampule for the last 2 days. Good luck and here's to lots of good follies!

Hope you are feeling better! Sending you positive thoughts and Baby Dust your way and hoping and praying that you get a BFP!!!! Good Luck and let me know how it goes!

Hey Tiff,

That sounds like a good sign to me!!! I am hoping and praying that you get a BFP!!!!! Please let me know how it goes for you! Like they say pg and af signs are similiar. And if you are having more than the usual it sounds like early pg to me! Positive thoughts your way!!! Baby dust to you!!! Wishing you +++++++++++ thoughts your way!!!

As for myself went in today for b/w and u/s. All went well! However after the u/s I waited in the next room for like 40 mins and they forgot about me! So away i went home...they finally called me tonite...and said that I have to trigger sat. nite and will have an IUI done monday am. And then I am in the 2ww. So i just pray all goes well! I do have alot of hope...and I just pray that it will happen one day soon!!! Keep me posted!!!!

Ha ha. I should really do spellcheck. i just reread my post and it was all spelled wrong. That is awful that they forgot about you. Do you go to an infertility clinic or do they do other treatment there? Mine is a RE. I like it much better than going to my gyn at the military hospital. I literally had to chase the Dr's down all the time and I didn't get bw done at all and only got U/S the day of my surger. They did do IUI's though. But now that I go to an RE I can not get IUI's. My insurance will pay for 100% of the treatment but they can not do any type of assistance with the sperm getting to the egg.. Which lessens my chances. But I try not to worry about it.
How many good follies did you have? What day are you on? How long have you been ttc? Do you have any other children?
Thanks so much for the +++ thoughts.. I won't be able to post till the afternoon tomorrow b/c I work for the gov't and we can not get on chats nor home email. Go figure!

Hey T,

Your spelling is just fine!! Ya, I go to a clinic...a specialty and womans fertility center! So he is an RE...and to my knowledge that's all they do! But, hey I could be wrong? Ya know ya gotta keep on top of everyone..if you do not chase them nothing will be done? I hear ya! That's too bad about the IUI? Do you then have to pay outta pocket or they just don't do it there? But, you have excellent coverage! Thank goodness! My dh's coverage is pretty good as well. All I paid for the injectables was $75. We were willing to pay out of pocket...but we were happy and both shocked that it is covered. And b/w and u/s covered as well. IUI is not! We have not paid much out of our own money! But like I said we were willing to pay! We have been trying for 2 yrs...and then it was like "hey we need to see someone" So we both have been married before...and both of us do not have prior children...Well, i did have one mature follie 16 on the left also on the left was a 10 & 9...on the right I had a 11 & 10. So I am very thankful for the 16..I still do one more injectable tomorrow a.m. So the 16 will grow even more...I do have my fingers crossed and my E level was 798..which they said is good. From what I have read on the net they want to see at least 200-600 per mature follicle. The higher the better...so i just hope and pray!!!!!!!! Do you guys have any children? Or is this a first for the both of yous? Keep me posted! Can't wait to hear from you next! Have yourself a good nite...I know you are like 3 hrs ahead...so it must be getting late...Take care...and please excuse my spelling as well! probab. my grammar too! oh well...what the hell!! HA! HA!

Hey T,

I am on cd 8. Did injectables for 6 days...tomorrow will be the 7th day! But, only half the dosage required. By the way you are lucky to work for the gov't...I was thinking about getting a job at the library...or post office? It's hard to get in...I think nowadays you need to know someone I think it is easier...but, hey I could be wrong..you know better than I do!! What do you do for them? If you don't mind me asking? Just curious? Talk to ya soon!

Hey Cali,
Still waiting.. How wrong is this. They took blood at 7. Got home at 415 and asked my husband if they called and he said no. I said, guess they don't call if you get a negative. So I called them b/c I wanted to know if I could stop taking progesterone. They told me the results weren't back adn tehy would call within the hour. But the worst thing is, is I started getting MAJOR back cramps today. I always get them before I start. So I think/sure it is going to be BFN. I figured, I just don't want to hear it. We always hold out hope don't we?
I work for the Dept of the Army. My husband is in the Army so it makes like easier. Though it is not easy to get a job when you move around. You sort of have to take what you can get. I work in the bugdet dept at the hospital. i really like. My coworkers are wonderful, my boss is military and male and totally understands my situation. If we were to stay here forever, I could work my way up and get a good job but such is not the case.
You should try the post office. My dad works there and makes some good money. I always think about it.
We don't have any children. We have been married for 5 years. Started in Nov of 01 but then he left in 2003 for a year in Iraq. We for sure would have thought we would have gotten PG when he got back. I mean come one, a year without any!!! But no. So we went to the Dr at the gyn clinic and they did tests. Everything was fine. Just unexplained. It has been an adventure. We could do IVF at Walter Reed but we don't want to put ourselves in any financial troubles over it. So we are saving money so we can just pay for it without loans or anything. Plus sort of waiting till I am 30 b/c then we know for sure we need it.. Only 2 more years... I do have a lovely 2 year old golden retriever who is my life.. He is wonderful.

Will keep you posted.
