New to this board

Hi,
I'm new to this board and wanted to join in hopes of getting some support with my IVF journey. I had my CD3 Sono today and my doctor still wants my BMI to be below 40 prior to beginning. I was at 302 but I'm currently at 274. My target weight to start a new cycle is 245. Needless to say, it's a struggle but I know that I have to do this. Can you share any weightloss tips that have worked for you?

I wish you all success!

I did a Dr assisted weight loss program - the Dr. Ted Diet. It's essentially an HCG diet. Worked wonders for me... I dropped 40 lbs in 8 weeks.

Personally, I don't think your Dr. should put those restrictions on you, I'd find a new RE. I'm about your weight and my Dr. isn't stopping me!

I hate to say this, but the "Rice Diet" really works, its horrible and hard and I couldn't stay on it for more then 2 weeks, but I did drop weight. So, we all know sugar triggers hunger, but so does sodium and the Rice Diet cuts both out! After 3 days the headaches from withdraw subside and you don't really crave food at all. I try to work a week of it in a monthly eating cycle. Helps cleanse the pallet and keep the water off, but don't do it the week before AF, you'll kill someone!
