clomid after provera

i just finished my clomid 5-9 50 mg about 4 days ago, i am trying to gather some info on if it worked for people in the first month and if it might work for me as i am overweight. please leave me some ideas!

I did Clomid after Provera. I think every woman responds differently. For me, I had hot flashes on Clomid and my uterine lining was too thin. They did the IUI anyway, but it did not work. The next month I did Clomid again and I still had the thin lining (combatted with estradiol) and it didn't work again. In my case, DH has issues too, but if the lining is too thin the embryop can't implant. I responded much much better to injectables. No more issues with hot flashes or uterine lining. Sorry I can't be much help. I never o'd on clomid alone, especially that low. I have had much better luck with medicated IUI cycles (using injectable meds and trigger shot) I hope it works for you. Are they doing any monitoring or bloodwork?

My Ob always said if you ger a period you o'd; but that is not always the case for me (sometime the hormones raise just enough to give me a period but progestrone test showed no O).

Wanted to wish you good luck. Clomid was not my friend. I responded to injections much better.

I conceived my dd on the 3rd round of clomid after having to take provera to start a period.

The difference my doctor did was have me take it for 7 days instead of 5 the second cycle and that did the trick. I ovulated on 100mg.

From what I've read about it, 80% of women ovulate after taking Clomid. I just started my 50mg dose today, so I'm wondering the same thing about how it works for others, but then again, according to places I've researched...
Can't always count on statistics or anything because there are cases where some women don't respond at all to the meds.

I am one of the lucky ones and ovulated and conceived my now 3 year old dd. What my doctor did was up the days I took it. The first round took 50mg. for 5 days and nothing, 2nd month I was upped to 100mg. for 5 days and nothing so the third month he kept me on 100mg. but I took it for 7 days and ovulated.
