Did anyone try clomid 100mg cd3-cd10 ??

Hi frds,
Here is my details

I am 29,pcos girl & 209 lbs dx in feb06..DH 34 actively trying for baby#1...did 4 cycles with clomid 50 mg in 2006 & 2007 ovulated but no pregnancy...tried 100mg in april for 1 cycle..ovulated but no pg...after 1st failed IUI(dr. said i need high dose to response which has risk of triplet or more..so iui only if i convert it to ivf if more eggs..but we are not ready for IVF yet)..now I started again 150mg clomid from cd2-cd6for 3 cycles(nov,Dec,Jan) out of which two i ovulated and again not even pg...(I got +ve opk and EWCM in these cyclesa...before IUI i didnt knew anything about it)..

But this time i am myself started clomid 100mg from cd3-cd10...as i know i ovulate but i want the good quality egg(dr. dont know abt this yet as she gave 3 months 150mg..and this my last cycle).. i hope this works but wanted to know if anybody has done this before...

Hi there,

I am no professional, but I am an overweight girl myself.I am 25, 5-8 about 221. I have been told that I have all the signs of PCOS but I do not actually have cysts on my ovaries (they said so during the HSG). During the past year, my DH have done 3 rounds of clomid 50mg, 3 rounds of clomid 200mg with trigger (Ovidril) 2 rounds of 200mg clomid and IUI. I was unable to respond to the clomid. I was ovulating, according to the blood work and everything else. But the follies weren't mature enough yet. This cycle we did injectables, which of course have the higher rate for multiples as well but the monitored me very closely, and I had 4 17+ follies. So I go today for my beta test. I took 3 HPT and had BFP!

But as far as the clomid, I personally did not seem to respond to it. Have they tried to put you on Metformin? Its an insulin resistance medication that they sometimes treat patients with PCOS with. I was on it for quite some time, as well as a couple of my friends, and it seemed to help them concieve. Me not so much. But its something to think about. I know it made me very sick so if you are on already you will know what I mean. Best of Luck to you!!! Hope this helped!!

Hi Heather,

when i did clomid 50mg 4 round in india with monitoring..i produced only 1 very good follicle of 24-27 mm each time...but here in singapore they dont monitor u while u are on clomid...My dh SA was poor in june 06 and then after taking ayurvedic medicine for 3 months return to good range ....but he is not regular on his medicine as he belives that he is now in normal range..it has been two yrs..before..so 1st step next appoinment i will ask/demand for SA...secondly clomid +injection & iui (Injection i never response at lower range started to response from 200iu follitism but IUI failed due to ovulation of imature follicle 14mm).. and i think i response much better with clomid..as i had P4 29.9 while on clomid 100mg..and i do get +ve opk...but confused if i ovulate imature or mature follicle(as no monitoring)...i hope my dr. agree for this Clomid+Injection IUI think...else i will ask for 1 more cycle of clomid 150 mg and then 1-2 iui..then by my own i will take clomid while on only injections IUI.......
