LapBand

I read in Conceive magazine about being overweight and trying to get pregnant.

Has anyone tried Lapband and got pregnant?

Thanks. Happy Friday

I have a lapband..and I wouldn't say the weight comes off slowly.. The first few months it comes off quick then after that it is slower but very consistant.. My biggest fertility issue use to be PCOS and IR but post lapband both issues are gone... and my cycle is very regular but we still have a male factor now that didn't exist 6 1/2 years ago when I did my first IVF (successful) now post lapband we are getting ready to do IVF the end of this month.. If you have any lapband questions feel free to ask....

I have a lapband, that I got in April and have lost over 50lbs. I am now trying to get pg and found that my PCOS is worse than before. I think it just depends on your body and the factors.

Have a good day,
Jessica

hey guys,

I have bcbs federal emp. plan, and got it done at vanderbilt university. I think all total it was 26k, my portion probably about 1700-

my weightloss has slowed, but my nut said that it can take up to 2 years to get where you want. i am breaking from serious weightloss, to try and concieve, as my pco is bad.

the recovery for me was realtively easy, back to work in 6 days after lap surgery. i have some restriction now, but imo, this is a mental thing, it helps but if you want you can eat around it...so if you are determined you can do it!
