I'm new...woohoo!

Hi there everyone! This is my first time posting here on Fertilethoughts, thought I would introduce myself..

I'm Brandi..have been trying UNSUCCESSFULLY for almost 3 years with my wonderful husband, Christopher. I'm currently on my second "cycle" of Clomid (with cycles consisting of 6 months on), and should start my 200 mg dosage in a few days.

I have a great OB/GYN who, FOR ONCE, did not start pushing me to lose weight when he first met me. He did suggest I lose a few pounds so I could be healthier during pregnancy, but he didn't sit there and ***** at me the whole time like EVERY other doctor has done. Evidently alot of doctors believe "fluffy" (sorry..that's my word, I don't like BBW or plus-size) women have never gotten pregnant before..amazing, huh?

We've had alot of setbacks in trying to get pregnant. First was finding out Christopher's sperm count was low and he has low motility also (we recently found out his SC has almost tripled and motility is increasing as well). Second was losing my Mama to heart disease last year at the young age of 63. But now...we're back on that bandwagon and hell bent and determined to have a child.

Well, I guess that's all I need to ramble on about for now.

Welcome to the board!! Sounds like you have a great OB...mine didn't give me any trouble either, which was a huge relief!! Good luck on the Clomid. I know two people who have gotten preggers with the help of Clomid. One of them is having twins!! And don't despair...the other one has a husband with less than ideal sperm...and they got preggers on their 6th Clomid cycle. SO it can happen.

Ask these girls anything...they know a lot!! I'm a newbie myself, and I have learned so much from the women around here (and occassional man!)
