Hi!!
Well I'm new to these parts. I've been lurking a little until I got some results back from my OB/GYN. My DH Brian and I have been seriously trying since Sept 2007, but we haven't been preventing since our wedding in Nov 2006. I come from fertile stock...so seeing YOUNGER unwed cousins get preggo has been really tough for me. I know the extra 75 lbs I'm carrying can't be good for my chances...but dammit...big girls have babies ALL the time, so why can't I!!
So far the blood tests have come back good...I am ovulating and my eggies are good. I had an HSG last week, and there is minor blockage of the right tube, but nothing to be concerned about. My DH Brian goes in next week to test his swimmers. I look forward to interacting with other girls who understand the struggle!

Hey Sarah
I recently new to these posts, myself. And just like you Me and My DH have been seriouly trying for Year and Half. But we have not prevented it since we have been married 4yrs now. Iam overweight and I have PCOS. So its been tough My RE is starting me on Letrozole to stimulate my ovaries. I will start this cycle. For awhile I thought maybe it was my weight. Then I realize any woman of any size can have a baby. I have lost 20lbs and Im still losing. But i still big. If Letrozole doesnt work then my dh will get his swimmers tested but my RE wants to give them a chance since i dont ovulate. Anyways thats basicly my story. Hopefully I gave you some in sight. I competely understand what your going throught. Good luck Jamie |

i hear ya..
My Doctor basiacally told be that he will not try any type of treatment until i lose some weight. The most frustrating part is that I always see girls bigger than me having children and it just eats away at me. I am a size 20/22 and I am pretty active. I just can't shed any weight! At this point my hopes of a baby grow slimmer and slimmer!

Hopefully: Find a new doctor. Im actually bigger than you. Im on treatment. My doc did advice me to lose weigh but told me he would still help me. If a doc tells you that, find a new one. There is hope for us!! Im currently taking letrozole, and going thru the opk's at this time. Im hoping it will work.
Good luck |

definately time for a new doc!!!
I work an average of 60 hours a week...come nights I just too wiped out (not that that's a good excuse or anything). I've tried so hard to "modify" my life style, but at this point, I honestly need the time off to focus on myself...not something I can do living where we live!!! Anywho...don't let one crummy doc dash your hopes! My OB and our RE hasn't said a word to me about the weight...the minute either says anything...I'm out!!
