anyone done 20,000 iu HCG?
I'm doing IUI/clomid/follistim and 20,000 iu HCG this month. I am unsure of when to test because of a false positive.
I've always heard that HCG leaves the body at a rate of 1,000 iu per day. Does that mean I'll have to wait till 20 dpiui to test? advice anyone?

While I wish I had the answer for you, I, too, am doing 20,000 HCG this month, and am trying to find out the facts. What I have been abletogather so far is that the increase in HCG produces better results for heavier women. As far as testing goes, they usually will do a blood test two weeks after IUI, assuming Aunt Flo hadn't made her presence known by then. A blood test is really the only sure way to tell whether one is pregnant.
I did IVF and 10,000 HCG, and did a HPT after 7 days, which turned out negative. I thwn did the 14 day blood test (hoping the HPT was inaccurate), but it also showed negative,so there you have it. Sometimes you just have to wait it out, unfortunately. |
