I'm trying again, need support!!

I am starting a new thread for anyone who is starting ivf this next month. I have not attempted this since the one and only time, which was a failure. My husband and I have been ttc for 4 yrs, my husband has only one vas deferens with a break in the one that he has. He had a testes bx three years ago and I was stimulated within the same month or so, the ivf did not work, whether my hx of smoking (had quit two months prior to stim) or my wt, who knows?
The RE at the time started as very nice, but stopped my cycle b/c only stimulated about eight follicles, instead of the 15-20 he wanted. I had the worse time with the nurse (who was awful!!!, I know I am a nurse and would never treat my pts the way she treated me. I would have lost my job!!)
The point of this post is to see if anyone is starting ivf at this point, I am nervous and do not want to go through this alone, my friends do not understand, my family tries to be supportive, but my mom and sister are very fertile, as is my extended family. I don't want to tell them yet about this round, as I don't want a lot of questions being thrown in my direction!!
My husband is very supportive and active in md appts and wanting to hold my hand during this time, but I feel like I need another female to talk to who is going through the same thing.
I have lost almost 40 lbs since Sept and I'm terrified of gaining the weight back, as I would just have to lose it again in trying the ivf, if this does not work.
Sorry this is sooo long, just needed to vent.

Hi!
That's a bummer that the doc stopped the cycle and the nurse was yucky!
Hopefully this time around will be a breeze!
Congrats on the weight loss! That is terrific!

CD 1 should be any day now, as I am a 28 day cycle, so after a preg test, that is mandatory, I will start the BCP for three weeks, then depending on the blood work and US, I will start injectables based on a flare protocol, has anyone ever heard of this?

yes, my husband and I have male factor infertility, but have good sperm on cryo for ivf, just have been waiting for me to get my weight down to respectable number. I am only 5 ft and wt about 163 today, down from about 198. I don't understand how some RE are concerned about wt and some are not? My first RE wanted me at 140, and my second was happy with 178, why such difference? My NP at the second RE said that it was more about their stats for CDC reporting efforts. She said they were just bought out (the first RE group) by a company called Integremed and the company is more interested in the money side, where the dr I go to now, he's wife is his nurse and their daughter is the office manager, both wife and daughter are infertility certified with their masters in nursing and invited to join a nursing organization named Sigma Theta Tau, which is a pretty big honor in the nursing world.

i don't understand either why some RE's are so big on weight and some aren't.
I was 5'4" and 180 when i did my IUI cycle. The RE commented on my weight and said it would of course be better if i lost weight, but never tried to delay things or anything like that.
But I've heard horror stories of ppl's REs refusing them treatment until they lost.
I guess you just have to find the right RE for you.
That's interesting about stats for CDC. I imagine it also effects their success rate. They want to report a high success rate and overweight ppl have lower chances.
That's great that you have good swimmers ready to go!
5' 163 doesn't sound bad to me! What is your weight loss strategy?
