PCOS, Full figured AND Diabetic

Hi there Ladies,

I used to post here. I just want to share some hope for you guys.

I've had PCOS for over 10 years and diabetic for about 8 years. Put on Metformin to help absorption of insulin, as im insulin intollerant, and to see if i would ovulate naturally.

Me and DH started ttc as soon as we got married (4 years ago) and nothing happened. Had umpteen scans and a LAP to check tubes, everything was clear except from cysts in ovaries.

I too am full figured, BMI is 33. Here in UK, your only allowed free IVF if ur under BMI 30. Then things changed. IUI was available to couples with BMI 35 and under but had to be on waiting list for atleast 6 months. I was willing to wait.

Tried dieting as i was desparate for a child. Weight loss can help, but i dont believe it helped me as i was not always this big yet i would have scattered AF. I even recall when i was only 168lbs, which was many moons ago!!!! Back then i would only get 2 AF's a year!!! So i still believe weight was not my issue!!!

As i said we've been ttc for 4 years, had a LAP last July then 2 weeks later i AF naturally, my first since coming off BCP!!!! Jan this year another AF!!!
In May this year, i was about to start a new job, IUI was about to start, stopped thinking about ttc, when i fell PG naturally!!!

I can say its not been an easy PG, ive had morning sickness from day 1!! But i wont change it for anything!!!

As i said, i just want to give some of you ladies some hope, as miracles do happen!!!
