Hi, my name is Bobbie. I'm 27 and have pcos. I used to post here often, but it's been a while My husband and I have taken a year and a half long break from ttc. I have a son who is almost 7 and a furbaby Zakk Wylde he's our Shih Tzu. We are a military family. We moved from Hawaii to Washington last year. The weather here in Wa isn't as great as HI but we are finally adjusting.
I am looking to get back into ttc, starting metformin again this week and a round of Clomid shortly there after. We got to the point that our RE said we should start looking into IVF. I have lost around 40lbs since then and still going down so I want to give Clomid a few trys, a few injectable too before we go to IVF. Hopefully the reduced stress and weight loss might help. I hope to reconnect to with Debbie, Kim, Daisy and Kelly and many new TTC friends.

Any weight loss tips? Low cal recipies that you ladies want to share would be great. I totally forgot about my diet last week. I cooked a HUGE Thanksgiving dinner for my family and some of our Hawaii military buddies that moved to WA too. 6 of us and enough food for 50. Both families ended up with 5lbs of Turkey to keep for leftovers. I just couldn't stand to roast less than a 20lb bird. Southern habits die hard.
How was your Thanksgiving? |

Started Metformin last night! Tummy ache this morning as expected. Either I'm a masochist or I am really glad to be back at this. It feels very right.

Child Mentioned
Hello can I join also. I use to post and then left when I got pregnant with dd and then always felt funny coming back because I had a child although I felt more home here than anywhere else. So I will update and would love to post but if you guys don't want me to then I will understand totally.
I have a 2 year old daughter and me and dh will be starting again in December. Should of started right away after dd came but was totally afraid to jump back into the whole trying and IF stuff and kept putting it off. I finally mustered up enough courage to call and make an appt. for the 26th of December. Figure let me enjoy my christmas first - lol. Haven't lost a pound and in fact put on a little since having dd. Need to really start trying to get it off. |

Hello. I'm sorry I haven't posted here just kind of felt a little funny because a lot of you guys new I had a child and I didn't want to intrude in a safe haven for anyone but I have to say I trully do feel most at home here because on top of the IF issues that we are all experiencing I also have the weight issues.

Hi Dee! Sure, we would love to have you. I know I keep saying it, but I have missed the support group here so much. I have a son, he's almost 7. The fact that he cries because he wants a sibling is one of my main reasons I chose to continue this battle. I am not going to talk about him unless asked from this point on.
My dh and I have been trying for 5 years, no luck. He doesn't have a male factor. It's me. I am very ready to get back in the game. Kim did you trigger last night?? Ouch! Dee where are you in your cycle? |

I made an appt. for the 26th of December with my OBGYN. I know I have PCOS but I am undiagnosed. For years not trying the pill worked for me but once I am off of it I get my period whenever it feels like coming. I am currently going on 4 months without it and no I am not pregnant. I am just too chicken or have been to go to the doctors and face the facts. With my insurance we have a max on fertility treatments so the cheapest is go to your normal doctor and try clomid and than other drugs for a year and if then it doesn't work then you are referred to a RE and that's when everything you do falls into the max. Our plan of action was try the cheap route and the clomid worked. I don't know if it will again or not but we will start with him again and see what happens. So anyways I will officially start the whole trying thing on 12/26 when I assume I will get a script for provera to start a period and get a script for clomid. I think his next option was Met. and then go from there. I am now 36 and do not want to play around too long but am willing to give the meds a try again and see what happens. After the whole trying this is done or I go to an RE that is when I plan on getting officially diagnosed and take care of that properly. Have to do what I can with the limited money we have. We are also trying desperately to get a house which is now pushed to next fall.
So I am rambling didn't mean to - lol.
