Hi, I am new here and have been reading most of the posts, but I haven't seen one yet with anything about what I am currently going through...secondary infertility + overweight, and recently found out my protein and globulin levels are slightly elevated. Has anyone out there had this happen, and if so, does it affect one's fertility?
I have a DD (4 yrs old) that was conceived while "changing" from one BCP to another. I also suffered from a missed miscarriage 3 years ago, which had to be eliminated by D&C. Since then I have had trouble ovulating and getting pregnant (despite not being on BCP for 2+ years). My OB said to just lose weight (currently 5'5 240lbs) and this really hasn't helped yet. I sought an RE myself and have been under his care since April. I know I am a newbie to fertility treatment, but since I am so new I guess I have so many questions that keep coming in my head. Today I was told that I would have to get repeat protein test done since my levels were elevated, and I am on CD12 and reportedly do not have any eggs showing via ultrasound (after taking the clomid on CD5-9). This is my first clomid challenge, so not sure if that is even normal either. I was put on metformin (which actually makes me feel better) and I have tried to follow a strictly low carb diet for about 3 weeks). Oh, and I have hypo (Hashimoto's) also! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
