Hey Bree!! Just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you and Hailey! Don't worry about the c-section it really is a breeze! (No pun intended lol) It is a bit scary sitting in the operating room, but as soon as they let your hubby in and the epidural takes effect you will be much more relaxed. Then before you know it you'll hear a lot of crying! You'll finally get some sleep in the recovery room, and then they'll wheel you to your postpartum room. About the same time they'll send your baby in and make sure you get a bunch of kisses and snuggles before the baby is passed around.
Everyone always says you never know how much you could love someone until they put your baby in your arms, and it is soo true. It really is worth the journey no matter how long or hard it was. Best of luck to you, dh and your baby! I love ya girl!!

She desrcibed it to a T!. It can be overwhelming with all the docs, op room and everything going on! Once Haily is here, all that will go away and you'll be a NEW Mommy! I cant wait!

I am feeling a little overwhelmed these last couple of days...I just cant believe it's finally happening. Thank you all for thinking of me...you guys have been wonderful through this entire pregnancy. I couldn't have done it without you! I love you all! I will update with pics just as soon as I can! I PROMISE! My c-section is at 7:30 in the morning on Friday....wish me luck ladies!
P.S. do the drugs they give you help calm the nerves at all? Every time I think about it I start shaking! LOL

The epidural alone will calm you down! It feels like a nice tingling blanket all over your body and I guarantee you won't remember the recovery room because you'll be sleeping. Make sure you get as much sleep as you can!! That's very important! I didn't have much pain afterwards, but a pulling sensation from the staples. If you do have any form of pain don't hesitate telling the nurses and they will give you something.
If you need sleep do not feel bad about letting the nurses take the baby to the nursery for a couple of hours. If you are breastfeeding they will bring the baby back to you for feeding, or whenever you ask to have her back. Utilize the nurses as much as you can with help feeding, changing, bathing etc. Remember they do this all the time so they are Full of information!
Enjoy every moment, absorb as much as you can, because the next couple of months will go by sooo fast! If you have any questions about the c-section, babies, or anything please don't hesitate to ask. I'm no expert for sure, but happy to give you any advice I have.
Best Wishes Bree!! This baby is very fortunate to have such a loving mother!
