Plus, in a few months you aren't going to care so much about the belly panel, as you will about comfort. at this point, i try to be as comfortable as i possibly can without looking like a slob. Of course, if i could get away with wearing sweats and a t-shirt to work every day i thinki would! LOL

I agree with Michele... soon you will not care what they look like, you'll be congratulating yourself that you actually put effort into putting clothes on!
and they aren't ALL horrible... just 99% of them are!

Still fitting into regular clothes here. Did bump up an undie size so as to not leave a mark on my belly.
TMI but I notice the belly is getting bigger when I sit down on the potty. Like thats when I look down and go oh yeah its getting bigger. And I'm finally gaining some weight! Last 2 OB appts, lost weight. I put on 6 lbs according to my home scale.
But according to my mom when she was preg with me she was still wearing her regular 'Jordache' jeans when her water broke.
So who knows how big I'll actually get.
On the maternity clothes:
A friend of a friend who bought very expensive maternity clothes is just itching to give them to me so she can get rid of them. I cant wait to be able to fit in them.
I have to agree about Kohls, I did see some nice stuff there. But in our Kohls it was very limited. It was mixed in with the baby clothes. I was quite disappointed with the selection. They were very nice but not much to pick from.
Disappointed last night. Tried the doppler b/c my digital camera has a video feature on it and I was going to have DH record (but point it at pic of baby on a box) while I did the doppler so we can have the heartbeat recorded but I couldnt find it last night.
I'll try again tonight. I had gotten it on Fri and got the heartbeat at 174bpm. (mine has a read out that tells the bpm)
I have my sequential scan this Fri. I am SO excited to be able to see the baby again. Then after sequential I'll make it more public knowledge. Tell friends and such. Only a small handfull know now. Probably post it on outer space page come Fri. It'll be my prize for having to turn 30 on Sat.

Thanks for thinking of me!! Hey Breezy your appt is this Fri too! And today's Tuesday already!
How are YOU feeling? Besides getting a bump. Lucky you!

This is so exciting to be following you girls pregnancies now. I'm so happy for both of you.
Melissa~congrats on getting to the 2nd trimester!
Breezy~just a couple more days and you'll be in that 2nd trimester too!
I only had a couple pairs of maternity pants, I wore a lot of stretchy pants that I just got a size bigger. I only gained about 12 lbs through the whole pregnancy (and believe it or not I've lost every pound plus a few more!). I still had one pair of pre-pregnancy jeans that I could almost zip right at the end, I didn't even buy a lot of maternity tops since the current style in regular tops is the empire waist with extra room in the belly area. I just got several tops at Fashion Bug and Ross that were made in that style in regular sizes so I can still wear them now and they don't look maternity. There are lots of options out there, check online too there are lots of online boutiques. Don't forget that Old Navy has a maternity line, they have some cute stuff.Last edited by Fireflyx3; 09-02-2008 at 12:51 PM.
