I've been thinking (worrying) about my clinic. Let's just say that we haven't been very happy with them but feel forced to stay with them bc of the money that we have already invested there.
Worry #1 We received no photo of the embryos this time. The last few times we did. When we asked they said that their new lab didn't have a camera. I read somewhere on the internet that you should be worried if they do not provide a photo.
Worry #2 Our dr. said that bc it was an FET they do not grade the embryos. I keep hearing about all these grade 1 or 2 but we specifically asked our dr and he said that their not graded. Is that right?
Actually now that I'm looking at it written down, I feel really stupid. Please tell me that I'm not and that I'm worrying for nothing. Or be completely honest and tell me that we were idiots for sticking with this place.

I would be mad about the photo thing. Just because -- get a camera, seriously. I paid $4,000 for a FET, I deserve a picture. And this means no picture for a fresh cycle either -- for $16k I better get a photo.
About the grade -- mine didn't re-grade the embryos post-thaw for a FET but they did tell me which embryos they thawed so I knew what grade they started out as. One of them hatched during the thawing and they pointed it out as a hatching blast, ungraded. I think that might be legit to not grade them after thaw.
Good luck!

I don't have experience with FET, so I can't comment to whether or not it is normal to regrade/not regrade, but I would absolutely want a photo. You are investing so much time, money, and emotion into this...you deserve a photo! They need to get a camera.

Agreed on the photo! I have named each of mine as Ive received them. Its a nice benefit and you def pay enough. My RE's never even share the grades though. I only found out once what the remaining ones were after we were ready to do our first FET. So thats not something Im familiar with.

Hello
I realize that this post is almost a month old, but I can't help myself from responding.
I just had my FET yesterday, and up until it was done, the only thing I had were the photos. My embryologist emailed me a photo of the eggs and of the day 3 embryos before they were frozen. I looked at them many times a day, and spoke with them in my heart. The photos were the ones that made them real to me. I looked at them and I knew they were waiting for me, so that no matter how painful the injections were (are) especially with the PIO, I had them to think about.
I don't know how I would have fared if I didn't have those photos. They are a part of my journey with infertility and I will always treasure them.
I hope that you were able to get some photos, at least before your transfer.Michelle- 44yo, NL labs, HSG- blocked Lt tube, never prego

Thanks, Whitney!
I am very happy to have my embabies come "home" to me. Until we get to hold our babies in our arms, the photos are all we've got. Even now that I'm on 2ww and I know they're inside me, I still look at their photos and marvel at the lives my husband and I have "created" between us. It's amazing though, that despite whatever we do, it's really up to God to breathe life into those embryos. We have to keep the faith, and think that this is truly happening to us.
Thank you for your encouragement. Sticky vibes and lots of baby dust to all of us here

roice-- thank you! Really, we've done everything, right, but ultimately it is up to God cuz we can't control what happens next once those embabies are transferred into our uterus.
voly-- you crack me up!
I wanted to name my 4 embabies, but the only names that came to mind were Moe, Larry and Curly, and I realized I didn't want my embabies to be 1) all boys and 2) 3 stooges and 3) I have 4 embabies for crying out loud! What was I thinking??? So I decided that I'll just call them "my babies"
