AFM- I will be starting on Lupron this Friday. This weight seems so long compared to a fresh cycle.
well for my first fet after failed IVF, the whole process was so much easier, less stressful, I did do bedrest for 5 days and got up until the 6th day in the morning (I went out to lunch and dinner that day) the 7th day was my first + on hpt and @ 8 dpt I had a pregnant show up on my digital!
I am hoping to get a bfp this time around but I am feeling really nervous about the thaw!!

    How's everyone doing?

Lawyermom & geneses- Do you have a schedule for your FET?

Andy's wife- our tentative transfer dates are just two days apart! I can't wait.

Sunshine- That's great that you're doing a natural prep. I'm going out of state for my FET, so I had to to do medicated.

Dand- I start Lupron tomorrow. It feels good to be "starting" something- right? I agree that the wait seems long!

    I hope I didn't miss anybody.

Okay, I guess I'm here. My most recent FET was BFN. It became official yesterday. So, we will be transferring our last 2 embryos in Jan. This will be our 6th transfer and 5th FET. I really can't believe our journey may be ending. Just saying it makes me tear up. (If you want to know my story, you can look at my profile to see my signature. It is all there.)

I'll do my best to keep up with you ladies. I have several threads I lead on the boards I BC and another on different site. So, it can be hard for me to keep up with another group. But, I'm going to try.

Right now, I'm waiting for my period to show after stopping all meds yesterday.

Hi Jillybean and the rest of you ladies on this journey. WELCOME
Great to know there are a few of us that will be going at this for the New Year. I hope we all get our BFP for 2012 and have healthy end of summer/fall babies.

Stargazer-I posted on another thread to you but I am so sorry you got a BFN. it isnt over until its over. I pray the last is the best.

AFM-As for a schedule no my clinic don't necessarily do a schedule until the initial bloodwork and u/s check on CD3 ... since mine is a slightly medicated natural FET. I did a HYST procedure 11/17th and then AF came 11/26-12/2, since my cycles are roughly 30-33 days in length I pray she will do me a favor and come on 12/25 Christmas day so I can have a better idea when in January it would be.

    Hi all,

Looks like I will be joining this group if I am ready. Just had my ER yesterday for my first IVF. I am a bit overstimulated and the RE had to go in through my uterine wall to retrieve my eggs. So, my body needs to rest. We are doing a freeze all. Just got the call from the Embryologist, 13 eggs retrieved all mature. 12 fertilized, 1 poor quality (discarded), 11 frozen. I know most people on here with probably have day 3 embies or blasts. But, does anyone have experience with a freeze all? I guess you could look at it both ways.. An embie or blast might not survive the thaw. Freeze all's have a tendency to survive the thaw, but might stop growing. Don't know if this is what would naturally happen or if it's because of the freezing process. Anyways, after the call today, I am feeling much more confident than I was over the weekend and yesterday. I keep saying, "baby steps". I have a follow up next week where we will figure out what my protocol is, etc. Hopefully I will be ready to go in January, but I might need to wait until February. We will see...

MBS822 - What day did they freeze them on? Usually when they freeze them all instead of transferring, they still either freeze them on day 3 or 5. It seems like these days, most like to freeze blasts. Yours were frozen on day 2? From what I've read, there is a slightly higher thaw rate with day 3 over day 5, but I don't know if that is really true. But, these days, the technology is so good, most survive anyway. I've thawed 8 of my original 10 day 3's. All have survived and looked great at transfer.

Stargazer - yup, they did what they call a "freeze all". There was no way I could transfer. I'm a tad overstimulated, and the uterus lining thing I think did me in. I will know more next week when I go in for my follow up. I think my ovary was "stuck" to my uterus. Anyways, the rate of surviving the thaw for a freeze all has a very high succes rate. I was torn between wanting to ask them to wait one more day and going with it. I felt good about the freeze all concept when I first started this process, so we will see. Since they have all fertilized, things should pretty much be ready to go next time around. I think no matter what happens I will always be second guessing the process - should we have waited, should we have taken a chance and done a fresh transfer, should we do the freeze all after 24 hours, wait till day 3, or do a blast. The stress of this is overwhelming. Right now, however, I am feeling pretty good about things. I am so surprised all 13 eggs were mature for starters (not to mention the fact they also got 13), and then the fact that 11 fertilized nicely.

Hi everyone... I too am scheduled for a FET in January. It's been a rocky road but I'm trying to stay positive.

AFM- I am already on BCP... My Doc seems to think I wasn't on BCP long enough so that's why I developed a cyst last attempt in October.

I'm schedule for an embryo transfer 16th or 17th of January
