Hi Aleigh! I will be having a December transfer as well. I start Lupron next Tuesday (9th). I had a mock transfer this past Monday, and it was NOT a fun experience! The nurse had a hard time with the whole thing, starting with not being able to get the speculum in properly, and then once she finally did, it shot out after a couple minutes! The nurse said, "Whoa, I've never seen that happen before, you must have a strong vagina." Umm, thank you? How do you respond to that?! Anyways, they eventually got it done, but not before 45 minutes of torture and switching nurses twice. Well, it is over and done with now. I will be having my transfer on December 20th or 21st- it should be the week before but for some reason my clinic's lab will be understaffed that week or something so they are pushing it back a week. I saw you are in a similar situation on your other posting. It looks like we will be very close in our cycle then! Hopefully more people will join us here as we begin this crazy journey!

Hi Believe, I am on the october thread, I read your post and wanted to comment on it. Is the transfer done by a nurse? I would not be comfortable with that, I heard that embryo placement is one of the most important things in FET. Good luck to you.

Success/Children mentioned
Hi waiting,
No, the actual transfer is done by our doctor. The mock transfers are done by nurses. I have had two fresh IVF cycles, both in 2008 (first one did not work, second one gave us twin boys). I had mock transfers for both (done by nurses) but the actual transfers were done by the doctor. This is our first FET and they wanted to do another mock transfer since it has been over two years since our last IVF, and even though the nurses made it seem difficult and I think (hope!) the actual transfer will go fine since our doctor has done it before. I too would be very uncomfortable if the actual transfer was not done by a doctor, because like you mentioned, that is a critical part of the whole process! Thanks for your concern!

Hi Believe! I was curious about the same thing! My RE does the transfer and I did not feel a thing during my first one!
Glad you are on here!
What medications will you be on.
I will be Lupron, then estragen injectable (Delestrogen)
PIO
levaquin
I just found out my insurance does not cover the Delestrogen, so now I need to call Office in the am to see if there is an alternative

I am in for December
Hey Ladies,
I will be doing my FET transfer around Dec 6th. I will be starting Lupron on the 7th. I will be on estrace vaginal suppositories, endometrin progestrone I was thinking of going back to PIO, baby asprin, and an antibiotic to ward off any inflammation. I got pregnant last cycle but ended up a chemical pregnancy which really sucked so I am back again. I will hopefully be transferring 2 6 day blasts. I just set up all my accupuncture appts for the cycle 2x a week (tues and fridays) until transfer. I am gonna try to relax this cycle I am not working anymore so that should help alot. I have twin DD from a 2004 fresh cycle so I hope I am blessed again. Hang on for the ride ladies its gonna be a long one
.

Hi ladies, I would like to join your group. I am having FET #2 either the 1st or 2nd week in Dec. Staffing issues determines my week I get
I start Lupron on the 14th. I cannot wait to get this cycle started. I am feeling really positive about this time around, this is a good thing for me
. Kaylasmommy: Glad to see you, we were in the same chat board last time, nice to see a familiar name
hopefully this time around we will be discussing due dates together
Believe: I know the pain your experiencing, I had that each time for my IUI's the whole thing was a nightmare, I would cry as soon as I would see the speculum I was really concerned when I would have the do IVF and FET so the RE gave me a valium to take 1/2 hour before Transfer. That valium calmed me down and I did not feel a thing. However it could also have been the nurse did not know what the hell she was doing.
Aleigh:I will be doing Lupron, Estrace tablets 2 times a day, Premetrium orally 2 times a day, Crinone 2 times a day. After transfer Re said we might do baby asprin but not sure yet.

Hi Jcbaby
Nice to see you again and I also hope we have a better outcome this time around. My chemical devastated me for a few weeks but I got up dusted myself off and is trying again. I never had a mock transfer boy it sounds painful and would feel alot better if it was doc instead of nurse but these RE are stretched so thin I am sure they could use the help. I am on baby aspirin now and have been for a few months I also started some vitamins after the chemical I went on a rampage and was googling the threads for anything that would help with the lining so I am came up with fish oil (omega 3), flax seed (a phytoestrogen suppose to help with lining), vitamin c for immune health and of course the baby aspirin. I am not one to mega dose and checked with my nurse she said it was ok.
jc are you using pio at all?KC

Waiting: I was trying to respond to you on the last thread but it seems everytime I go to respond it takes me to the sign in screen, I have no idea what is going on with that. I wanted to say I am SO HAPPY FOR YOU! This is such great news and your journey to grow your family is NOT over! Enjoy being pregnant and now is the time to believe that this is happening to you. I am so happy for your BFP.
Kaylasmommy: for now no PIO, just the prometrium orally and crinone supportories. If so some reason progesterone is not on track he will put me on staight PIO. My prenantal I am taking has DHA so the fishy stuff is already in it. Except I think I will now have to try a new one, because when I take it, it smells really fishy and makes me gag LOL. So i am thinking that its not going to be good when I am finally preggo, I will already have enough to gag without the fishy prenantal vitamins. Which do you take??
