    Feb FETs Anyone? (child ment)

    Hi!

I'm really excited to be starting a cycle in Jan and then transfer sometime in Feb. Anyone else want to cycle along for Feb.?

My story is I have endo and did a IVF in Oct 03 which worked and I now have a 17 month old. We have two frozen and I feel I must go back for them. I feel llike I can't move forward with my life until we use the two frozen and know if we'll have another child or if my son will be an only. Not sure if we are putting back both at once or what. It would be really nice for him to have a sibling, but of course I'll be just as happy with having him as an only.

Can't wait to meet and hear your stories.

    (children mentioned)

    Hi dpsmom,

Well I am not sure what my next step will be. I just completed FET #1 and received my BFN today. yipee. I have been prepared since tuesday, so I am no longer crying, but I am still sad and unsure.

My history: My dh and I tried on our own for 2 yrs then went on to 9 IUI's and 1 neg IVF. IVF #2 resulted in our dd who is 4. We had 4 frozen 2 PN's from that IVF. When she was a year we went straight to IVF #3 and were blessed with b/g twins. We had 4 frozen from that (4 to 2 cell).

FET #1 we thawed all 4 2PN's and transferred 2. So we have four left. If we decide to use them we will transfer in Feb. I will take one cycle off, and then start again.

I wish you the best of luck and I guess over the next few weeks my dh and I will decide. Surprising he is encouraging me to try our last frozen, he knows how much it means to me.

    Hi Kristin,

Sorry for the BFN. Doesn't matter if u already have children or not - it still hurts just as much.

I'm really nervous about doing this FET. Or I should say not nervous about doing it, but nervous about the results.

This will be my first FET. I hear they are must easier to cycle thru then an IVF? I guess there is less b/w & u/s involved. That would be great.

That's really great your husband is so supportive. I'm sure it helps a great deal in making your decision.

Hello everyone! I've been reading the posts on this site for months; however, this is my 1st post ever. I'm excited to be a member so I can receive the support that we all need during our pregnancy attempts.

I'm also transferring in February. February 17th to be exact!

    My history is:

IVF (fresh cycle - 4 3-day embies) in Feb. 2002 - BFP and now I have a wonderful little girl (just turned 3)
    FET (all 7!...horrible ) in Aug. 2005 - BFN
IVF (fresh cycle 2 blasts - great quality) in Nov. 2005 - BFN

Now I will do a FET in Feb. 2006 (hopefully it will be positive this time).

I have 4 frozen blastocysts. Not sure how many will be transferred, I'm just hoping that they thaw out well. My center claims a high success rate thawing blastocysts, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. They also claim their pregnancy rates are pretty good with frozen blastocysts. I will think positively as I dread another negative pregnancy test!

    Can't wait to cycle together!!!!!!

    Jen

    Hello Kerri!

I have to agree that the first time I did a cycle with the center I'm currently with, I was completely shocked when they gave me a transfer date and stuck to it! The process that I will be going through is something like this:

In january, I will start my period...and start Birth Control pills on around day 2 of my period. This BEGINS the doctor's "control" of my body. I will eventually stop my birth control and actually have a mild period. Then I will begin the thickening of my uterus through medication for the transfer process. Over the course of the process, I will take Lupron injections, as well as begin baby aspirin, Medrol, Progesterone in oil injectiosn, progesterone suppositories, doxicycline, etc. It's super weird that they are able to hit a date!

The clinic I was previously with did not estimate a date, they just followed your body's cycle. I've heard very positive results from both systems. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the February transfer will be a great success!!!

Keep me posted on your doctor's appointments!

    jen

    Welcome Jen.

You are very lucky to have a set date, that is great. For me it is unknown until about a week before. My protocal is different than most. I will have my period in Jan and then take Aygestin and Lupron. 14 days later I will have another period (didn't believe my doc last time). Then I will start my estrace three days later, while continuing on the lupron. about 14 days later I will do my progesterone and then we transfer 3 days after starting progesterone.

This is my 2nd FET, after just having a neg this month. We have 4 frozen embies left (frozen on day 2, 2 - 4cell, 1-3 cell, 1-2cell). So we will be thawing them all and completing our IF journey. This is it. (I posted my history up a little higher in this post).

So I look forward to getting to know all of you over the next few months.

    Kristin
