    Question Help! + IVF(2003) then - FET#1 (2005)

I did a FET on 11/28/05 and found out a couple days ago (at work!!) that it was negative. My HCG levels on both test days were below 2. I am concerned because I had an easy time with IVF in 2003. I had 2/2 embryos implant one was blighted and the other was a successful pregnancy. We were also able to freeze 11 5D embryos. I was just surprised when FET produced nothing?? Has anyone else ever had a successful IVF cycle with subsequent failed FET#1 and if you have did you ever go on to have a successful FET and did your Dr change anything about your protocol??

I was very happy to find this board!! I needed to find a group that was going through all the same frustrations as my self.

    Thanks, kniz

Well since this my 1st FET, I am in the same boat as you. I had 2 succesful IV's (#2 and #3). We thawed the embies from IVF #2. That one started as a twin (although we put 5 back), but we lost one. So I won't know if I had a negative or positive IVF until 12/15. I am sure with all those blasts you will have success. Welcome and good luck. Kristin

We are also in the same boat. I had a negative on my first FET in November. We had a successful IVF#1 in 2003 and had 2 of 2 embryos implant and had twins. For our frozen cycle we chose to only transplant one embryo (frozen at blast stage, 95% cells survived the thaw) and were told the odds when transferring one were only 25% (35% if transferring two). It seems that the odds for a frozen cycle are less than for a fresh anyway. We have one more frozen embryo which we'll transfer in Jan and then that's it. Good luck!

Thanks for the posts. I wish you both good luck with your cycles!! Isn't it crazy the things we will go through for these beautiful babies, actually its not crazy at all when you finally have that baby in your arms. I feel bad worrying when I have so many frozen but I'm sure you understand the games your brain starts playing on you when you are faced with the idea that none of them may work. We are going to try again for a March transfer hopefully it will work. Let me know if you two have success I would love to find out what protocols your Dr's used.

    Good luck to you both!!

    Erin
