Jan FET group update

Final UPDATE 2/12/05 8:30 am NY time

On Friday, Christine got a BFP!!!! Yahoooo! Karen (I) got a BFN:-( Zara and Shann got doubling betas!!!! Zara, still needs to go back in for a forth beta on Monday since she started with a low number, but so far, so good. She is officially getting listed with the BFPs now. Jen and Christine will still need to go in for beta#2s (Monday for both I think) ,but they are in the BFP list too. We haven't heard from Herewegoagain or from Beth1968. Unfortunately, Kim's (Kimfsd2) betas are dropping. She is naturally very sad and I'm sure could use all our support.

So for our FINAL COUNT we seem to have gotten confirmations on Nine positive and five negative betas for our group. Congratulations to Christine, Zara,Jen, Mayra, Kim (Kimfsd2),Donna R, Shannij and kacoste!! Dearest Staci, Hoochie, Kerryb, Kim (Jasonfigher) and to me (JustKaren): we are so sorry for the disappointment and pain that comes with a BFN.

I would say this is good evidance that FETs CAN WORK!!! In fact, I think FETs did better than fresh cycles for the ladies on this board this month.

Signing off as secretary!!! (but not off the boards!!) All my love and best wishes to you all.
Karen

Karen:
Good summary of everyone, I have a hard time keeping up with so many ladies.
I am not down about this cycle, just leaving it in Gods hands and let his will be done. People keep asking me if I feel any different but I don't. All the "symptoms" can be put down to meds, they simulate pregnancy symptoms (tired, mild cramping etc) I feel fine. I have a plan in case this does not work and this is to take a month or two of and roll into another then. I have enough for 2 more FETs and hopefully that will be the end of it all. I am sure if I get down to the last set I will then be really re-assessing my problems and worried but hopefully I wont get that far.

I'm also waiting......

Hi Karen,

I had my FET on Wed., 2/2. My beta is on Thurs., 2/10. My RE only wants me to wait those 8 days as I transferred 3 both 5 and 6-day embies. So I, too, am in the "2ww"!!!!

This is my first FET. I was pg from my 1st IVF but m/c twins in Sept. '04 at 7 1/2 weeks. My 2nd IVF was BFN in Dec. '04. I transferred the 3 embies and have 2 frozen embies remaining. I am so hopeful about this cycle... but I'm a nervous wreck. My husband is trying to keep me relaxed and I have not done any HPTs yet (plus it's only 4dp5dt and it seems too soon for sure!!).

With the 3 IUIs that I did unsuccessfully, I made myself nuts with HPTs. During my IVFs I did them ONLY the night before my beta and I have found them so far to be accurate. The first time I got a quick PREGNANT with CBEasy Digital and second time was a just as quick "NOT PREGNANT".

I know how you all feel with the waiting and it is soooo stressful!!! I am having certains symptoms/signs for a potential BFP, and I'm reading into anything! What signs are you having if any?? Just curious if they're the same as mine.

I hope to be in your group for support this week!!! I'll be there for all of you and I'd love to have all of your support as well!!!

Thanks!! Jen

Karen,

Thanks for doing the summary as I had lost track of where a lot of people were. You seem like a very organized person!

I'm not sure whether my RE will let me move up the beta or not. I have a fax all typed up to send over tomorrow morning (wanted to be able to say I had used a HPT on 10DPT which was neg. and that will be tomorrow). If nothing else, I'll probably be the first person that has sent them a fax asking for an early test.

I assume the earliest they would let me go in would be Tues. so I'd only be saving myself 2 extra days....but lately each day seems like a week. Anyway, will let you know what happens tomorrow.

Needless to say, I think you're making a wise choice not HPTing.
I wish I had that kind of willpower. It's really made this last week miserable for me. Last night I had this really vivid dream that I got a positive HPT....then took a 2nd one to make sure and got another positive. I woke up and gave in to superstition and took a HPT in the middle of the night. So much for that. At least I got to see that 2nd line in my dream anyway.

Jen,

Sounds like your transfer went great and you have every reason to feel hopeful! Glad you are joining us.

Staci

I am so excited..................I got a BFP of 108 and my Progesterone is 78.2. Thank you all for your thoughts...I'm sure it helped. Now I have to have another blood on Friday to check my levels.

Oh and I cracked and did a HPT on Saturday night and DH and I were so excited it was hard to sleep

I hope we get lots more BFPs.

Babywanted......yes I did a natural cycle. It was so different to all the IVFs and drugs.

I'm sending lots of sticky thoughts for your transfer and hope we'll be able to hang out on the due date boards

OK, I'm going to try to read through the responses that I got and update (edit) my first message so that we can look there and see where we stand.

Thanks for the updates. Zara, I'm really sorry, I mistook your stress for an actual neg beta!!! There is a big difference between the two!!
Love,
Karen
