I asked my Dr at my last transfer in April about assisted hatching and he said that it's not necessary with 5 day blast.

    My Mood
    Hopeful
I wasn't given a choice it was automatically done. I was told by another embryologist (not associated with my clinic) that its not automatically necessary but my clinic just does them.

I am currently pregnant so for me it worked well!

Hannahsmom - Did you get pregnant with both blast? I had a chemical on my last FET, do you think had i done AH the outcome may not have been that?

No, unfortunately I didn't but my RE told me AH it's always done on frozen embryos at Shady Grove, which has one of the best labs in the country. I'm having AH done on my 5 embryos with my upcoming FET. Probably just 4 since one of them is already hatching.

Sorry you had a chemical. *hug* I seriously doubt your chemical was the result of not having AH done because it seemed to hatch and implant on it's own. Your chemical is probably most likely due to a chromosonally/genetically bad egg. I have a chemical before and it really hurts.
