We're nearly done!!

This process has gone FAST for us! We've finished all our classes, paperwork, home visits, tb tests, dr. physicals, water tests, etc, etc. We are still waiting on our fingerprint card to be able to go in and get fingerprinted, and I still need to print out copies of our family photo collage to take in to the agency, but we have been able to just fly through this process so far. It's been a busy 3 weeks, but now we just wait for our license! I have no idea how long that will take, and obviously we're still in the process of our background check, but everything has gone so much faster than I expected up to this point. Do any of you believe in timing? I was mentioning to my dh the other day that maybe everything is moving so quickly because there is a little one (or two) out there who may need us soon! I'd like to start shopping, but we decided to get licensed for up to 2 children, either gender, 0-6 years, and I have no idea what to get. So now we wait!!

Not to scare you but with our first...we were called 3 days after we were licensed. We didn't even have the actual license in our hands until the day we met him! Then with our daughter...we re-opened our home and we were called THAT NIGHT! The child that they called us about, we did not pursue just because she had a twin that they wanted to have weekly contact with forever and we couldn't commit to that. But, we were called about our daughter a week later. It happened really quick for us too! Thank God for good family and friends that helped us shop or who knows what would have happened! Good Luck! glad to see you moving along quickly. please remember, fostercare can really get your hopes up. I don't want to be a bummer at all, but its alot of hurry up and wait. you are doing phenomenal, I want it to keep going along as it is, just don't be disappointed if it slows or you wait. I was a great case.....I waited for them to 'okay' me and it was still on a desk when they got the newborn-preemie call and they finished the 'yes' vote as I was making my way to the hospital. she stayed for 2 weeks and then went back with mom to a facility. a week later, Kendell came!
