Hi 78Chick
I am from NC. We are trying to do an agency DA so I probably can't answer any of your questions about fostering. We attempted that route but our county was not too optimistic about our chances of getting an infant.
Where are you located? We are in Orange Co.

hoof print,
We're located in Vance Co. Yeah, I know what you mean. DSS here are not that helpful in giving details on the process and not very assuring to prospective foster-to-adoptive parents.
However, we was thinking maybe I should call the supervisor but then I realize that it may looks as if we're being too impatient etc.
Could anyone of you ladies help me ?I need these questions answered for to be assured. How long does it take to get placement? When are homestudies completed? The worker claim's that she's waiting for a response for our application by the state. What Does this means? I thought that we were already approve by the state to be prospective foster/adoptive parents. We have copies of our criminal & fingerprint results(It's approve)before we even started MAPP/GPS class. Or does it means that we're waiting to be licsensure by the state.(I think that this is why we're waiting...)
Can we search for our own child/children?In different states and/or counties. If so, will our county or the child/children county help with fees?meaning: board, vendor Payments & adoptions assistance,WIC & medicated
Info is greatly appreciate.
Thanks, Shameka
