Unless we walk the floor with him. This has been going on about 4 hours now...I am exhausted. The swing doesn't work, the vibrating bouncy doesn't work, swaddling him doesn't work, he is changed, Milaconed, Tylenoled, fed, nursed, pacifiered, EVERYTHING I can think of. As long as we walk, he is not crying. DD is the only one home with me and she and I are taking turns walking, but she just infomred me she's had her fill. (She is 7...I am so grateful for her right now!)
Any suggestions!!!??????????????????![]()

Heather! When DD was a baby, every now and then she would do this. Sometimes putting her in the car and taking a drive helped. Does he do okay in baths? Maybe a warm bath would help calm him. It sounds like you need a break too! I know it is hard, but maybe if you put him in his bed where you know he can't hurt himself and just take 10-15 minutes outside or something. I am glad your DD is a help! At least you can have little breaks with her help.
I don't think I have helped any. More

I think he is constipated...he just squeezed a pellet out, so, I gave him a gltcerin suppository, and now we are waiting. and yes, he loves a warm bath. I was just about to put DD in the tub and hand him over (I would sit there too of course...but we have a Garden Tub, and it is a long bend into it. So, someone needs to be in there with him.)
He just fell aslepp...no crying...hmmm. I'll let you know our outcome. Thank you for the advice. I would have tried the driving one, but can't afford to waste gas.

Hi there,
I highly recommend the book "The Happiest Baby on the Block." Since you probaby don't have much time to read maybe you could buy or rent the dvd. This has made a huge difference with my 2nd dd. The basic concept is that you swaddle them (very snuggly with arms down by their side), turn them on their right side, slightly jiggle their head and make a loud shusshing sound in their ear. The shusshing sound has to be as loud as the level of crying or they won't even pay attention. If he will take a pacifier you can give him that as well. You need to do all or most of these things together though for it to work. Something about it triggers a calming reflex in babies. My dd has slept so well and has been such a happy and calm baby. I truly believe alot of it has been b/c my dh and I have used this method. When we do all these my dd calms down almost immedietely. I tried to explain it the best I can and I hope it helps. Trust me I know how frustrating it can be when you are walking the floor with a screaming baby and nothing you do helps. That is how my first dd was so this time around I wanted to make sure I was prepared. Boy has it made a difference! I have attached a link for you to check out.

Well, now it upsets his tummy, so, I don't give it to him. He still hasn't "gone", so maybe he wasn't constipated. I just don't know, but we are gonna try the method to see if it works.
Thanks again!

WOA- 3 BM's? Crikey he's probably exhausted now and will sleep through the night! Glad to hear things have settled down, or out, or whatever!
