hello everyone. i thought i would share some information. time warner cable has health benefits that include infertility coverage. the best i have seen so far. after 30 days of service with the company as a new employee, your health benefits kick in. one of the ladies on these boards applied for a job there, and after 30 days, she got her benefits. she used them for ivf and on the second try, became pg, and gave birth. i have talked to some other ladies that did the same thing. just wanted to pass this along in case anyone is interested. ivf is so expensive.

what state would this have been in. I live in WI and they do not mandate fertility coverage. I know pepsi in wi does provide 1 cycle coverage due to it being taken over by national pepsico

I just got a job in NC with TWC and infertility coverage is not mandated here. But Time Warner offers that coverage (3times IVF and 3 times IUI). I hope to be able to use it in a couple of month (need to wait for other reasons). But all said in the first post is the same here.
TTC since August 2007

i am glad you got the job! they have excellent benefits for ivf!! i believe it goes into full effect after 30-60 days employment. i know of no other company that offers this kind of coverage. i was offered a job as a rep in los angeles taking calls in a call center. i ended up getting pg via iui and turned the job down. but if i didnt get pg, i would have taken that job to get the ivf paid for. you have to do what you have to do. i would have done anything to get the money to have my baby...remember i was keeping my full time job and going to work nights at time warner. i remember my mother telling me that we women just have to sit down and think about how to get things done...no matter what...whether it is money...a job...whatever....just figure out a way. time warner was it! it would have been a big sacrifice but i would do it AGAIN if i had to. we are trying for #2 in oct via iui, so hopefully it all works out. best of luck to you. congrats on getting that JOB!!!!

I belive that this has changed, Our ins. is through TimeWarner, but my husband works for Warner Bros. Now it is 25,000 Per covered person lifetime max ( example: 50,000 a couple) , any treatments you may have undergone before 2012 do not count against it, so you could have used up your three tries of ivf, but heres their new converage guidelines, and now you can use it again. I called and clairfied. :P

Is this for every state? I live in WI. Does anyone know of any other employers that offer infertility coverage?

hi pinkgerbil,
I work for Time warner - and I see this as my insurance benefit - but I'm confused as to what this means, and I'm getting conflicting answers as to whether meds are part of the 25K. Medco is telling me it's separate, but UHC is telling me it's together. But when I ask UHC to give me a total of what's been used up out of 25K, they can only tell me the medical amount - not the prescription combined - they told me i havve to call Medco for that, and add the 2 numbers up. When I asked them, how do you determine whether to pay my next ivf claim, since you don't know the medco amount, they became confused and told me they'll call me back - it's been 3 days and no answer.
Here's what the coverage says - since you also have with same company, can you tell me your experience as to what was covered and what was separate?
"$25,000 per Covered Person during the entire period you are covered under the Plan.
$25,000 combined with Rx paid through Medco"
