Did you finance? How?

We are in the process of beginning our IVF journey. Our biggest issue is that we are in Florida and our clinic is located in North Carolina (we are military). So in addition to the lab work, procedure, etc. we will need to include travel and lodging costs to.

Yes, we could pick a clinic closer but the cost would be significantly higher as my insurance wouldn't cover lab work, ultrasounds, etc.

I don't know where to begin? Who did you finance through? Is there institutions with low interest rates for IVF?

I am completely clueless. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

We used Care Credit for our IVF. You can apply on their website. The intrest rate is 11.99 but if you pay it off in 6, 12, or 24 months there is no interest.

Unfortunately Carecredit is no longer offering patient financing for fertility treatments. Capital One also stopped financing as well. Not a lot of choices out there...

It seems that healthcare loans are impossible to get. That pretty much leaves personal loans, borrowing against retirement (401K or TSP) which is not ideal, credit card - then you have high interest rates, or equity lines (which are drying out). Not too much fun.

If anyone finds something that is reasonable, please let me know.

My RE clinic sent me the following 2 companies information:

http://www.healthone-financial.com

Med Choice Financial 800-358-8980 option 1, provider ID 6353 (not sure if this is specific to my RE's clinic)

I haven't applied to either one, I am in the process of saving.

HTH!

Last March we used Capital One. They were offering health loans up to $25,000.
Just looked them up and found article stating they have now pulled out of health care financing. Sorry.

I was going to apply to CareCredit...but I read too many horror stories last night.

I just contacted CCB (my sperm bank) and they are now using a company called Med Choice Financial.

Check them out.

I financed through arc fertility. It's easy to find... just look em up. I am sure there are better deals out there. Capitol one I believe-- I see them in RE offices. Good luck!

According to the internet, Capital One just recently pulled out of the health care loans. I think it just happened in April.
Its too bad, I used Capital One and the rates were pretty decent.

Med Choice's APPLY ONLINE option is not up at this time. So I will call today and try to apply.

I will probably get denied; less than stellar credit due to medical bill issues 3 years ago!! *sighs*

We shall see. If not, I will call ARC today as well. They did email me back Saturday night, which was weird...
