Anyone in MO and financing IVF?

I live in MO...a non-mandated state to cover IVF. My insurance doesn't except meds and lab work. Anyone else in MO and found a good way to finance MULTIPLE IVF cycles??

We can only afford one more cycle (total of 2 fresh) and took the money out of dh's retirement account. Have to pay it back in 5 years.

From Mo Too

Hello. Just wanted to say I'm from around St. Louis area in Missouri. I'm going for my first appt to discuss IVF on July 16. I am so scared. Not about anything else except for the money part of it. I am 36 with no time to waste. I would love to hear any suggestions on how we can get money for this procedure. Good luck to you and every one else who is in this same situation. *side note: I just had a friend tell me she is pregnant, and I am having a hard time being happy for her because not too many years ago (2) she had an abortion, and it makes me soooo mad that people like that can get pregnant without even trying, while people like me spend all of my savings and work my back off just to survive because we have exhausted our finances on trying to get pregnant*

I had my 1st appt in St. Louis on the 17th...assuming you're using Dr. Silber too? I am very confident in him...I am 36 and I'm on the Sept BCP, Oct ER/ET schedule...trying to think of creative ways to finince this, but I feel it's now or never...I KNOW it's going to happen, i'd just like to know how.
I have/had (havent talked to her in awhile), who CHEATED so many times on her husband...cant really say he's a DH, well he's a DH to her, she's a whore (sorry, the truth is the truth)...and she'd get pg by these guys and abort them, 5+ abortions that I know of, but when she decided to have a baby with her husband, she was pg a few months later...good for her. my younger sister just had her 3rd son in 4 years...1st planned and two OOPS! And I've done 3 IUI's, spent 10k, no baby and STILL have to spend $11,700 for one cycle, not incl meds. Frustrated is not the word I can say without offending or getting TOS'ed.
And I live in Alton, which is 15 miles above the AK boarder on the edge of the Mark Twain forest, so the drive is a beast (choose to live next to a national forest to avoid a highway or walmart being built).

~~dont know for sure, but i'm applying for medicaid and i'm not sure what kind of meds they cover, but in MO, they cover A LOT of health care. We're not broke by any means, and i dont need food stamps, i just want the meds and an od/gyn. I'll let you know how it goes~~

Dr. Silber is one of the leading specialists in this field. He actually helped invent ICSI. His office has financing info available. If you call they can send you a packet of info.

OK: so i've been to my appt with silber and you go in, he talks with you for about 15 mins about your treatment...he is HONEST, so have kleenex if theres something you arent prepared to hear: like the fact that if i was 22, my DH and i would pregnant and this problem is almost solely related to my age: 36. BE PREPARED.
Then you go and see this lady about your appointment. you pay nothing at this visit...we opted for the sept/oct (you only get ER/ET's this year are Oct, Nov and Dec, then he takes off for awhile, keep this in mind) schedule, so our down payment is due tomorrow, one week later, which is $500, all of which is deducted from the total price. A few days ago, I got a letter, giving me a breaking down of where the money goes. (I will GLADLY email this letter to anyone who is curious...just PM me with your regular email address and I'll scan it)...one good thing, is its not all due at the same time. We are doing some creative balancing with financing...so when they get the $500, they send you all your 'scripts and schedule...I start BCP's in sept and ER/ET mid Oct...my problem is I have to stay for last 2 weeks in a motel cuz I live 4 hours away and will be monitored every other day...not sure how that's gonna play out.

I totally believe he can bring us a baby...I ope it hapens the first time: also, he wanted to transfer 2 and I asked for 3 and he agreed...he said expect only 8-10 TOPS for my eggs.

msg from your PM

We are self pay also...as well, we are doing some creative financing too...we just bought a house in May (29th) and it needed a ton of work to make it liveable...before the house we could have financed probably 3 IVF's up front with cash...THEN, the down payment, the floors, the paint etc etc...
We have to put down our $500 deposit today ( just put it on a debit card...we dont believe in credit cards...screw the American Dream, I dont want to be in debt) and we dont have the $$ to pay for IVF yet, but on faith, we're doing it anyway.

DH is self employed and he's been off the job for 4 months...no work, no money but he got word a few days ago that he'll be back on the job in Indiana...(French Lick <---I dont know if thats an actual town, or if he's messing with me?? There's a town over here called Licking...not to bad, but my dad has been a preacher for 49 years and all the snail mail he'd get from me would from "Licking MO" WAAAAY too ghetto)...the money will come, it always does. He only has to be there for the 10th of oct, so he'll come, do this part and go back to work.

(Anyone see the movie/read the book called "Running with Scissors"? )Anyway, there this odd psychiatrist where he has this "room" off his regular office and it has a chaise lounge in it...WELL, this "room" is called his Masterbatorium because he needs it to, throughout the day to, well, you fill in the blank...so whenever DH has to do "his part" I always call it the Masterbatorium<---is this TMI? rent the movie, it fits into the context. ESPECIALLY with IF and all the crap a woman goes through and DH's has to go to a Masterbatorium...AND my DH has the NERVE to complain about the selection in the Masterbatorium! I say: here's PIO, with an 18 gauge needle. I'll take ____ any day over this crap. Sorry...small rant.

RE: acupuncture
I did acupunture for awhile and I didnt think it was helpful...plus the guy who did it made me feel uncomfortable, so maybe i just give it a chance.
The only thing I'm really doing "special" is I'm doing a 2 week juice fast to clear out all the crap i've injested for years...not looking forward to 2 weeks, but I've done worse...i blew out the motor on my juicer, so i'm waiting for my new one to come in the mail. I'll look on priceline...i'll find something, I just hate adding to the cost of all this. I also use CheapOAir.com and they have really good prices too.
This will be our only shot this year, but DH has SO much work for next year, we can probably do a few then also.
I'm gonna go look for a hotel...maybe someone else will pop up on the board who's on the same cycle.
