shared risk programs

I have heard about shared risk programs, where u can pay around 20,000 and you get like 6 tries at getting preg through IVF. If you get preg on the first try they keep your $ but if you dont get preg at all u get 75% of your money back. My question is, are these programs only from certain clinics offering them or is there a seperate program that u pay and then they pay your re?

It is a combination of both. Some clinics offer their own programs while other clinics you someone like Intregamed.com. It will all depend on which clinic you choose and what program they are associated with or whether they offer one in house.

Dawny is exactly right! Dawny was right. Some clinics offer their own program while others refer you to services such as the one she mentioned. Here is another one http://www.arcfertility.com/family_building/

HTH some! Good Luck!

Has anyone used the ARC Shared Risk programs where you get a refund guarantee? I'm looking at the 2-cycle plus program. How much more might it cost than just purchasing 2 cycles at a clinic? It looks like you have to apply and pay the application fee before they'll give you a price.

My clinic sent me to arc. It is much more expensive. I ended up asking my doc to do a shared risk program for me himself. He said he would but he would have to get back to me on the price. Ive been waiting 2 1/2 weeks to hear back. Ive called to check in about it twice. Its getting a bit frustrating.

Amber, I used ARC but it was in 2000. I did the 3 IVF/partial money back plan. My first attempt worked. I paid 25,750.00. I am sure it's more now.

Shared risk if I qualified and I didnt would have been $19,400 for 3 fresh and 3 frozen cycles. If not prego 70% back. If bring home baby they keep it all.

My dr's office starts out at $15,000 up to $19,400 for shared risk. Depends on age etc.

Hi! I'm not sure where you are located, but I used a clinic in Richmond VA. They had great success rates and the doctors were wonderful. The shared risk program was $20,000 and you got 4 tries. They considered a baby actually giving birth to a living baby so if you miscarried or had a stillborn, it did not count as one of your 4 tries. At the end, if you didn't have a living baby after 4 tries, you got 100% of your money back.

If you're looking for a shared risk program, I'd highly recommend the Shared Risk program at Shady Grove Fertility Clinic based in Rockville, MD. They offer a shared risk program with 6 fresh cycles and unlimited FET between the fresh cycles. We had two failed IVF attempts before going to them. They have similar criteria like the other IntegraMed clinics so were presently surprised they accepted us into the program. We live in NC and chose to travel for treatment. It cost us $22k including ICSI ... the best part is that there is a 100% refund. On our 2nd attempt with them we had our first BFP!!!! First US on 1/10/08. Keeping our fingers crossed ... )
