IVF in NY for 4,950.00 including meds.
I was searching for some info on ivf financing tonight and found this. I was really surprised as one of the REs at this place is the first RE I ever had! I really liked the guy (Dr. Barad). I used him from 99 to mid 2000 for all my IF workup and my 5 iuis. Anyway... this looks like a great deal. I emailed them....

I called and spoke with someone about eco IVF today. You must be 38 or younger to participate in this. You have to be approved for it by their REs. The person on the phone didn't know what the cut off was but I am guessing there may be a cut off with FSH numbers. She said there is no limit to how many a person can do at this price. And she said you can get an appt within a week. She said they use a shorter protocol with their eco IVF. Less hormones and a shorter stim period. She said younger women often respond well to this. Anyway.... I am definitely going to keep this in mind.

I think it's a natural, or semi natural IVF cycle. I don't think there are many meds. They only take up to age 38. I suspect there may be an FSH level cut off too. I'm not sure why the price is so good. But really, if you look at what RE's take from insurance companies, it's not much more than that. My RE was taking whatever GHI paid him while I still had coverage. It only came up to about 5,500.00 per cycle. When I asked if I could pay that much as a private pay patient, he said no. Doesn't seem fair!
Someone on the IVF bb posted recently that she had a consultation with eco IVF and was probably going to go with it. The consultation is 375 but comes out of the 4,950.00 price if you end up going with it. I called and spoke to someone who worked there just to ask some basic questions. You know, there is another doc in NYC who offers IVF for something like 2,900.00 I know nothing about him, and wonder if he's a quack. I did get a pm from someone who knew someone who used him and said it was fine. The doc is Dr. Brandeis. His ad comes up whenever I do searches for low cost IVF in NYC. |

hi ELI. hAVE YOU HEARD OF www.integramed.com
its a shared risk program. you pay one set amount. My dr had me approved a few months ago for hte program. I would have to pay $19, 400 for 6 cycles 3 fresh and 3 frozen. i pay cyro $550 then anestesia is $500 plus meds. if i bring home a baby they keep the money if i odnt bring home a baby they give me back 75% of my money. have you heard of CNYfertility. They charge $5500 per ivf cycle. although they have their own integramed program. the cost of integramed is based on your fertility issue and age etc etc etc. my drs office charges a minimum of $15,000 for integramed. www.albanyivf charges i think $8300 a ivf cycle they do icsi with every cycle at no additional cost. I have heard of and looked into integramed. I used arcfertility.com for my first ivf... the 3 cycles/partial money back guarantee program. My current RE will charge just 6,500.00 for an IVF cycle to include everything but meds. This is a special self pay rate. I'm not sure what, if anything I'm going to do at this point. We are ttc #3 and I'm afraid to go into debt at this point. But we might..... Thank you for the info...

Eco IVF
Did any of you go with the Eco-IVF. I am from out of state and am trying to find out about their reputation. Everything I have read about the docs is great. but I am something of a skeptic (if it looks to good to be true....it probably is) My DH and I are secondary infertility. Male factor. He has a vas reversal that left scar tissue and a partial blockage creating very slow motility. We have to have ICSI so a fee of $4950 is wonderful as it includes the meds and ICSI. Any info would be great!
