Benefits from GE. I too have GE benefits and have paid everything out of pocket. I did write to the SVP in HR and they commented that they have not seen enough requests to cover IF. Maybe if you guys also write in they may get more requests and IF will end up being covered.

Dawnymarie- I actually spoke to the head of benefits at GE in CT, demanding to know why they don't pay for infertility. The song and dance that she gave me was that the unions have had the opportunity to include IF in the benefits and each time, it gets passed on. My husband is not in the union but she said the union makes the benefits decisions for the entire company, regardless of whether you are in a union or not.

Lab - I was given that as a reason as well. However, when I contacted the labor union heads all of them said the policy was coming from HQ that they keep putting it in the negotiations. I wrote all of the union guys. I have busted my butt trying to get this covered. Now with the significant price hike they are putting in place next year it is almost cheaper to get private insurance. Very sad for such a large company like this.

Hugs
