Financing IVF & Fertility aid outside of US

This news article was posted on MSNBC for women seeking lower cost options outside of the US.

Placing this article here as an alternate option. It stresses that research on the countries and facilities offering services really needs to be done, as there may not be standards in place to regulate them. However, this option can place procedures within financial reach (especially those of us without insurance!!)

I see this is an old thread, but in case anyone is still reading...

DH and I are in South Korea (he's in the Army) and I am being seen at the local Korean OBGYN hospital in Seoul. Cha Hospital has a great reputation in Korea and IUI and IVF are much cheaper here than in the States - as long as you can get past the cultural differences, which are HUGE. Even after we leave next month, we'll probably come back here to try ART again in the future. Even with the cost of a plane ticket and hotels, we would still save thousands of dollars! IUI (not including the cost of Clomid, but including all ultrasounds, lab fees, everything else) was about $350; We're just starting IVF and have been told the total cost will be about $4000.

If you'd like more info about Cha Hospital you can pm me, or contact Cha Hospital yourself: From the States, 011-82-11-2-3468-3000 and ask for the International Clinic.
